Judy’s POV
The thought of Gavin with another woman physically hurt. The thought that he was so in love with her that he was planning on proposing, nearly destroyed me. My wolf’s reaction came out of nowhere; I had to restrain her as she pushed forward, wanting to go for a run to release some of this pent-up tension. The reaction was confusing for her as well and she didn’t know how to respond to the fact that Gavin was once in love with someone else.
My stomach ached at the very thought, and I had to take steady deep breaths to calm myself and my wolf.
Irene studied me for a long while, trying to figure out how I was feeling and gauging my reaction.
“That was a long time ago though,” she told me, trying to sound reassuring. “He’s different ow. He’s almost back to being that happy self again. Even Matt’s noticed it and we know it’s because of you, Judy.”
I looked at her, frowning. I wasn’t sure what to say to that; my mind was still wrapping around the thought of Gavin with another woman, loving her… proposing to her… losing her.
He must have been so heartbroken.
I wonder if he would talk to me about her if I asked… then again, was it my place o ask him anything?
Irene reached over and took a hold of my hand.
“I wasn’t telling you this so you can doubt yourself, I’m telling you this, so you know that if he doesn’t’ warm up to you right away, it’s not your fault. It’s not that he doesn’t care… or won’t ever fall in love again, it’s just that he’s afraid to fall in love. Everyone he fell in love with eventually dies. He probably thinks he’s cursed or something.”
I swallowed the lump in my throat as I met her eyes.
“Is he cursed?” I asked.
She let out a laugh and shook her head.
“No, of course not,” she assured me. “My father is just very typical. But I can tell he cares about you, even if you can’t tell.”
“You think so?” I asked, hating the vulnerability in my tone, but I needed to know. Was there a chance for Gavin and me? And would she be okay with it if there was.
“Yes,” she replies. “I think there’s real potential between you two. You could be the woman that knocks him off his feet and makes him fall in love all over again.”
This time, it was my turn to let out a laugh.

Well, it seems that Ethan is NOT marked, because Irene was worried about is he ever found his fated mate, would they still be together. The question is: Why? Why isn't he marked but, Judy is?? Was that another sick way for Ethan to control Judy, by making her but not letting her mark him?? 🤔 Also, Is Matt & Irene's Mother the same person? Or do they have different Mothers? The reason I ask, is because in chapter 8, Gavin makes the comment that Matt doesn't speak to his Mom and won't fit a long time if he has anything to do with it, but in this chapter, Irene talks about her Mom has passed on....
I really like the plot and the relationship developing between Gavin and Judy, but I hate when a heroine keeps getting hurt over and over. You have this setup for her to be hurt by Lila, Gavin, her parents and Levi while I’m just wanting to get back to her dating Gavin and seeing him be nice to her. (There has got to be a proportionate amount of romance to go with the drama…but it looks like you have her not just seeing drama but being treated horribly again.)...
Lots of missing content and some areas of the book are unreadable due to typos. Otherwise its an incredible plot. Could use less of the same descriptions when it comes to the s*x scenes. I found it annoying that the main character Judy kept allowing her ex to grab her the way he did. She's training to be an Elite Gamma. She should be able to defend herself against that as*hole....
There is so much missing and many spot flipped...
Chapter 340 It seems that the author has not finished this story. She did this post about it last spring or summer....
Ch.-22. She needs to get a backbone. She should've screamed for her Mom when he was assaulting her and when he answered his phone with Irene on the phone, she should've screamed out "Ethan get out of my room, your engaged "!!...
Ch.17-I hope Gavin is secretly doing something to expose Ethan to Irene because if not, he's not looking like a very, good father to allow Ethan to date his daughter while knowing that Ethan's flat out lying and keeping stuff from Irene. Also, does Irene not know that he was mated before? I mean, Judy keeps mentioning that her mark on her neck is still there and will be until Ethan marks another. Does he not have a mark? If he does what did he tell Irene? Maybe I'll get my answers soon. So far I have enjoyed reading this novel....
This story is unreadable now that the screenshots won’t load...
these updates always have only half of the original chapters. Its quite frustrating coz I always have to go find the rest of the chapter on one of the reading apps. For instance, this chapter doesnt show the part at the end where "Tabby tells Judy that she always found Sammy weird during the competition, always disappearing for weird phonecalls, how she's in contact with all Gavin's enemies. How the 3 of them decided to investigate her and found tham Sammy's home life has wiped out on all platforms and had lied about a boyfriend that does not exist." Thats so much important parts of the book that we just miss out on...
