“I guess so,” she whispered. “I just hope he’ll one day see it that way too and I can return home.”
That was another reason she had to stay in this mansion; she couldn’t be around matt right now without his wolf going insane and trying to rip her throat out for betraying them. She nearly tried to kill him just to get rid of me and that was something Matt’s wolf wasn’t going to forget. But maybe one day he’ll be able to let it go and live in peace with her again.
One could only hope.
A knock on the door broke us from our thoughts. I frowned as I lifted my head and looked at Irne.
“Were you expecting someone?” I asked her.
She shook her head, wiping her eyes from the tears that escaped.
“No,” she replied.
I stood and went to the door; I glanced through the peep whole and the second I saw who it was, a big smile lit up my face. I pulled the door open and opened my arms for Tabby to run into them.
“Hey!” she said, hugging me tightly. “Heard you were staying here tonight and thought I’d come join.”
“I almost forgot you were in town,” I admitted. “With everything going on this last day or so, my head is in a complete cloud.”
“I don’t blame you,” she told me. “I can’t believe what I’m hearing about Sammy. She was banished from the pack and forced to return home to her father. I wonder if he’s going to be pissed.”
“I’m sure he will be,” I told her, guiding her into the house.
Just as I was about to shut the door, Chuck and Shirley appeared.
“Didn’t think we wouldn’t come too, did you?” Shirley asked as she walked into the mansion.
“What are you guys doing here?” I asked with a laugh as I shut the door behind them.
“We leave tomorrow to return to our pack,” Chuck explained. “Figured we’d stop by and spend one last night with you.”
I was grateful to them and glad that I got to see them. We went through the competition together; they were my friends for life now.
Irene’s eyes immediately went to chuck and her cheeks flushed at the sight of him. I made a mental note to ask her about that later; it was obvious that there was something going on there.
Chuck grinned at her as he went to the couch. Ignoring them, I turned to Tabby and Shirley.
“I’m really glad to have you here. I’m also grateful that you came when you did and warned me about Sammy. If it weren’t for you, she’d probably still be here.”

Well, it seems that Ethan is NOT marked, because Irene was worried about is he ever found his fated mate, would they still be together. The question is: Why? Why isn't he marked but, Judy is?? Was that another sick way for Ethan to control Judy, by making her but not letting her mark him?? 🤔 Also, Is Matt & Irene's Mother the same person? Or do they have different Mothers? The reason I ask, is because in chapter 8, Gavin makes the comment that Matt doesn't speak to his Mom and won't fit a long time if he has anything to do with it, but in this chapter, Irene talks about her Mom has passed on....
I really like the plot and the relationship developing between Gavin and Judy, but I hate when a heroine keeps getting hurt over and over. You have this setup for her to be hurt by Lila, Gavin, her parents and Levi while I’m just wanting to get back to her dating Gavin and seeing him be nice to her. (There has got to be a proportionate amount of romance to go with the drama…but it looks like you have her not just seeing drama but being treated horribly again.)...
Lots of missing content and some areas of the book are unreadable due to typos. Otherwise its an incredible plot. Could use less of the same descriptions when it comes to the s*x scenes. I found it annoying that the main character Judy kept allowing her ex to grab her the way he did. She's training to be an Elite Gamma. She should be able to defend herself against that as*hole....
There is so much missing and many spot flipped...
Chapter 340 It seems that the author has not finished this story. She did this post about it last spring or summer....
Ch.-22. She needs to get a backbone. She should've screamed for her Mom when he was assaulting her and when he answered his phone with Irene on the phone, she should've screamed out "Ethan get out of my room, your engaged "!!...
Ch.17-I hope Gavin is secretly doing something to expose Ethan to Irene because if not, he's not looking like a very, good father to allow Ethan to date his daughter while knowing that Ethan's flat out lying and keeping stuff from Irene. Also, does Irene not know that he was mated before? I mean, Judy keeps mentioning that her mark on her neck is still there and will be until Ethan marks another. Does he not have a mark? If he does what did he tell Irene? Maybe I'll get my answers soon. So far I have enjoyed reading this novel....
This story is unreadable now that the screenshots won’t load...
these updates always have only half of the original chapters. Its quite frustrating coz I always have to go find the rest of the chapter on one of the reading apps. For instance, this chapter doesnt show the part at the end where "Tabby tells Judy that she always found Sammy weird during the competition, always disappearing for weird phonecalls, how she's in contact with all Gavin's enemies. How the 3 of them decided to investigate her and found tham Sammy's home life has wiped out on all platforms and had lied about a boyfriend that does not exist." Thats so much important parts of the book that we just miss out on...
