Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 1836

Snowball had not seen its master for a long time, so it missed Zachary and wanted to be closer to him.

“Mr. Zachary, breakfast is ready.”

Zachary did not speak and walked toward the dining table. He went over and saw that the breakfast prepared for him by the chef was his usual favorite, but an important person was missing at the dining table, which made him very uncomfortable. Thus, he had no appetite.

He sat down and stopped eating after taking two bites.

Zachary then got up and went outside.

Sam glanced at the dining table, followed Zachary, and asked with concern as he walked.

“Mr. Zachary, do you have a bad appetite? Or was the food prepared not cooked well?”

“My wife is not at home.”

Sam was speechless.

Serenity went on a long vacation with Old Mrs. York and would not be back for a while. Was Zachary planning to go on a hunger strike the whole time?

“Mr. Zachary, where are you going?”

Zachary did not answer.

A few minutes later, Zachary drove out alone and did not let the bodyguards follow him. However, Sam still asked Jim and another bodyguard to drive a separate car and follow Zachary covertly.

Jim was slowly tailing Zachary’s car and said to his colleague in the passenger seat, “We need to be more alert lately and not make mistakes. We also shouldn’t show ourselves in front of Mr. Zachary unnecessarily.”

The colleague said, “Whoever hangs around in front of Mr. Zachary is seeking death. We don’t have to worry when the missus is home because she can handle our boss easily even when the sky is falling. Now that the missus isn’t at home, I just wish I can be invisible and get out of the boss’s way.

“Mr. Zachary is so used to being accompanied by the missus. Old Mrs. York just took the missus on a long vacation without telling the boss, so he has nowhere to vent his anger.
