Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 1870

Since Duncan decided not to give up on Liberty, Zachary was more than happy to give his best bud a boost and create an opportunity for them to spend time together.

After thinking, Liberty said, “I might not be available so soon. If you’re willing to wait here for a moment, Mr. Lewis, I can give you a ride home later.”

Duncan immediately said, “It’s okay. I can wait. You can give me a ride after you’re done with your matters. I have nothing to do if I go home anyway. If I stay here, I can even help you to keep an eye on the renovation process.”

He could provide Liberty with many ideas too.

“Zachary, you can go and handle whatever you have to. Don’t delay it because of me.”

Duncan urged Zachary to leave quickly and hand him over to Liberty. No matter how busy Liberty was, she would have to take time out to give him a ride. That way, he would be able to spend more time with her.

Although he was in a wheelchair, he could still woo his wife.

He would do his best to recuperate and stand up as soon as possible.

“I’ll be leaving then, Liberty, Duncan.”

Zachary winked at his friend and gestured his support to him while Liberty was not paying attention. After that, he returned to speaking seriously so she would think he had something urgent to handle.

“Go and take care of your matters,” Liberty said.

Zachary bade them goodbye and walked out of the restaurant.

He had successfully “sold” his friend to his sister-in-law.

That was as much as he could help him.

After exiting Liberty’s new store, Zachary got into the car but was not in a rush to start driving. That was because his phone started ringing at that moment.

It was an unknown number.

He picked up the call eagerly.
