“Liberty, I really like you. I’ve liked you for a long time. I was too slow to realize my feelings. Or else I would have confessed to you a long time ago. Maybe we might have already made it through the phase of knowing each other.”

Liberty took her hand back and sat down behind her desk.

A moment of silence later, she looked at him and saw anticipation in his eyes. She said, “Mr. Lewis, I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. I can’t give you a solid answer right now. I have never thought of getting married again either.

“I think you should focus on rehabilitation first. If you recovered, and I changed my mind, where marrying is an option again, I will give you a chance, Mr. Lewis.”

Even though it was not a strong answer, at least there was still hope. Duncan nodded with a smile. “Liberty, thank you for giving me hope.”

With that, Duncan would drop by Liberty’s shop every day after he finished his rehabilitation. He has to make Liberty remember him, only then would he stand a chance, and it was also to prevent another man from approaching her.

Liberty was still young. She had regained her slender body after giving birth, which made her more attractive.

On this day, Zachary dropped Duncan off at Liberty’s shop. After Zachary left, Liberty wanted to send Duncan home.

Every time she wheeled him out of the restaurant, the young owner of the supermarket opposite the restaurant would stare at Liberty.

She was doing great with just her son.

After sending her son to the kindergarten, she would be free for the day and only has to take care of her business.

If she got married again, she would have to handle her in-laws. Even if the Lewis were rich and she might not need to do anything, she would have to consider her husband and her in-laws first before she acted. She would not be enjoying the same level of freedom like now.

If Duncan agreed to only date and not marry, she would have said yes a long time ago.

However, Duncan wanted to date her because he was looking for a stable marriage.
