Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 1936

“Okay.”

Serenity ended the call.

Sonny and Laurence ran in from outside, one after the other. They were obviously playing a game of tag.

The two little guys were sweating, and their faces were flushed red.

The two nannies who followed them came in two minutes later, panting. They had most likely been running after the little ones for a while.

When they saw Serenity and Jane wiping the two boys’ sweat, the nannies laughed and said, “The two young masters run so fast that we can’t catch up with them.”

Serenity wiped her nephew’s sweat and said, “They’re both learning self-defense, so their legs are much better than those of their peers. Even I can barely catch up with them.

Serenity also knew kickboxing.

Jane said, “I haven’t been able to catch up to Laurence since a long time ago. His movements became swifter since he went with the doctor.”

It was the right choice to let Lilian take Laurence.

The legendary doctor would not neglect Laurence’s education, and he could teach Laurence self-defense and how to keep fit and protect himself.

After all, Laurence was burdened with a blood feud. If he did not learn self-defense, he would not be able to protect himself or the people he wanted to protect in the future.

In fact, Jane wanted Laurence to grow up like an ordinary child and live an ordinary life, but after learning about his circumstances, she understood that it was impossible for him to live a normal life like a common person.

Even if Laurence did not want to take the road of revenge, the people who killed his family would not let him go. Those people were still asking about his whereabouts now.

Laurence was lucky to have met Jane and be adopted as her son. Furthermore, he was given special treatment by Lilian and accepted as a disciple, living with a legendary group from the underworld. Otherwise, he might not live to see adulthood.

Even with the Johnsons’ power, it would be difficult for them to protect Laurence.
