Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 1943

Upon entering the house, the housekeeper offered Kevin a seat on the couch.

“Mr. Kevin, what would you like to drink?” the housekeeper asked courteously.

As Hayden said, Kevin was a guest. Therefore, the housekeeper had to treat Kevin as a VIP.

“Please give me a glass of warm water. Thank you.”

“Alright. Please wait a moment, Mr. Kevin.”

The housekeeper turned around and walked away. She poured a glass of water for Kevin.

When Hugh came in, there were already fruits and pastries on the coffee table.

Hugh did not need the housekeeper to serve him. He took a bottle of drink from the refrigerator on his own. After that, he uncapped the bottle and took a sip, which cooled him.

“The weather is warm. After taking a sip of the cold drink, it feels refreshing.”

The housekeeper said, “Mr. Hugh, Mr. Hayden is going to criticize you when she sees this.”

“But why did she put a few bottles of my favorite drinks in the refrigerator? Aren’t they for me? I don’t drink much anyway. I only need one bottle.”

The housekeeper laughed, unable to refute Hugh’s claim.

“Cynthia, you may carry on with your work. I’ll serve Mr. Kevin. Later, I’m going to a party with Hayden, so we’ll eat early. Since Mr. Kevin is here, ask the chef to prepare two more dishes.”

“Okay.”

The housekeeper walked away.

She headed to the kitchen to help out.
