Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 1973

“The milk is ready,” Josh said as he sat beside his wife.

Jasmine lifted the glass and said, “Seren believes in Zachary. She recognized the woman in the picture. She said it was the daughter of Daniels Group. The woman’s name is Jenna Daniels.

“That woman is so shameless. Zachary and Seren are having their wedding in a month. They’ve gotten their marriage license for a year. Wiltspoonians aside, anyone in contact with your company knows that Zachary is married and even spoils his wife a lot.

“Jenna even dared to go to Seren’s house to talk to her. I dare say she must’ve told Seren that she doesn’t deserve Zachary and to leave him. I don’t know who gave her the courage to utter those words to Seren.

“How is Seren not enough for Zachary? Even if her family background can’t compare to the Yorks’, Zachary and his family didn’t mind it and accepted her. Those who kept commenting on it had nothing better to do. They were just jealous.”

Josh said gently, “It’s good that you understand. Don’t be angry. Serenity is a rational person, and she believes in Zachary. I don’t think that man is Zachary either. He has only been attending business engagements or consoling and encouraging Duncan lately. He never left Wiltspoon.

“Oh, he did leave a few days ago. However, it was to go to Annenburg to look for his wife.

“Dear, drink the milk. You should rest after.”

Josh could not resist resting his huge hand on Jasmine’s belly again. His expression was filled with anticipation. “Baby, say hi to Daddy.”

Jasmine drank a few sips of milk. She smiled and said, “It’s still too early. You can say hi to the baby when there’s fetal movement. The baby will kick you wherever your touch is.”

“I’m looking forward to it. How does fetal movement work? When will our baby start moving?”

Jasmine returned a question, “You bought so many pregnancy-related books, but you’ve never read them, right?”

Josh said, “I did read them, but I would fall asleep immediately. Sleep is the naughty one preventing me from paying attention to the books.”
