Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2037

Kevin was happy. He said, “You have good taste, Hayden. The York family’s men are all great people. We’re definitely not b*stards. It’s fine that you admire all of us, but I wish you could admire me more.”

Hayden looked toward him and asked, “Kevin, was I the candidate your grandmother chose to be your wife?”

She had thought of that question for some time.

The York family’s actions only made sense if that was the case.

Besides, it was strange that Kevin knew that she was a woman so easily.

Hayden did not believe Kevin had sharp eyes to recognize her as a woman at first sight.

They had not spent much time with each other either. No matter how clever Kevin was, he did not have such discerning eyes. She had disguised herself as a man for over twenty years, and no one ever found out. How could Kevin determine that she was a woman just after meeting her several times?

However, it would be possible if Old Mrs. York had noticed it. She was skilled in obtaining intel when she was young. The Bucham family in Wiltspoon still consulted her on certain issues frequently.

Hayden wondered when Old Mrs. York had started targeting her.

How did Old Mrs. York discover that she was a woman?

Kevin got some food for Hayden and asked, “Why do you think so? Can’t I approach and pursue you because I like you?”

“Regardless of how open-minded your parents are, it’ll be hard for them to accept that you’re gay. Jensburg and Wiltspoon have been thrown into confusion because of you bugging me. However, your parents never stepped up to stop this and simply allowed you to continue doing what you’re doing.

“This isn’t normal. I’ve contacted your nana, but she told me, ‘Didn’t Kevin tell you?’ There was some meaning behind her words. After thinking about it for a few days, there could only be one possibility. Your nana has chosen me as the candidate to be your wife, right?”

Kevin laughed. “Why are you so clever, Hayden? It’s not fun at all.”

She was right.

Hayden sighed inwardly. She admitted defeat for having lost to Old Mrs. York.
