Once his subordinate caught the person who dared to make Camryn pass out, he would mercilessly strike his neck, letting him taste the feeling of being knocked out.
As Camryn reached out to grab Callum, he quickly extended his hand to let her grab onto it.
After she grasped his hand, she pulled him closer and sniffed him. After picking up his scent, Camryn then relaxed and released her grip on his hand.
“Camryn?”
Callum was puzzled.
Camryn said, “Let’s get back into the car first. Are we almost home? We can talk at home.”
“We’re almost home. Okay, let’s talk at home. Is the back of your neck hurting?”
“It hurts.”
“Once we get back, I’ll help you apply some ointment.”
Camryn did not say anything and slowly fumbled her way back into the car.
Soon, the car started moving again.
Before long, they arrived at the Newman residence.
Callum wanted to carry his fiancée inside, but Camryn refused. In her own home, she did not need anyone to lead the way. She was already familiar with every inch of her home as she had lived here for over twenty years.
“Ms. Newman, Mr. York.”
The housekeeper came out of the house and greeted them respectfully.
Camryn did not respond to the housekeeper’s greeting and walked past him with a calm expression.
The housekeeper was used to Camryn’s attitude.
They harbored their own intentions toward Camryn and were not completely loyal to her.
Camryn did not replace all of them because she knew they were more loyal to Mr. York.
