Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2095

After speaking, Liberty called her son, “We’re leaving, Sonny. Say goodbye to Dad.”

“It’s a weekend today, Liberty. Sonny doesn’t have to go to school. Can we let him stay in the hospital for a day to accompany his dad and send him back to you tomorrow night?” Mr. Brown asked for Liberty’s permission.

He wanted his grandson to stay behind.

Mr. Brown did not say much, but he also felt a sense of crisis after seeing Sonny and Duncan’s overly intimate actions.

He was worried Duncan would become Sonny’s stepfather. If so, they would definitely have a close relationship based on the affection they showed each other. His son, Sonny’s biological father, would be completely forgotten when that happened.

It was fine if they could not get their ex-daughter-in-law back because they had hurt and bullied her in the past. However, Sonny was the Brown family’s child and their only grandson. They could not let their relationship with Sonny be estranged.

Liberty said, “I’ll have to ask for Sonny’s opinion on this, Luke. If he’s willing to stay, I won’t have a problem with it.”

Therefore, Mr. Brown asked his grandson, “Sonny, stay here at the hospital to accompany your dad, okay? Let your mom and Dunc leave.”

Sonny refused without hesitation. He answered honestly, “I want to go to Aunt Ser’s house to play, Granddad. She called me this morning and told me to go over to her place to play after visiting Dad. She also said Grandpa Liam and Grandma Tania miss me.”

Mr. Brown coaxed him, “You can go to your aunt’s house whenever you want, but your dad isn’t feeling well now. He’s bored after lying in the hospital for so long and needs someone to be with him. You’re his son, so stay back and accompany him, okay?”

“Aren’t you, Grandmom, and Aunt Chel accompanying my dad now?”

Sonny did not understand and returned a question.

There were already many people by his dad’s side.

He would have stayed to be with his dad if there was nobody. However, Dad already had many people with him.

Mr. Brown was at a loss for words.

“Dad, I don’t need Sonny to be with me. Let him go with Liberty. I’m fine, Sonny. You can have fun at your aunt’s house and tell me what’s fun there when you’re back.”
