Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2126

Did the wild girl think he had no clue she admired his sister?

Unfortunately, his brother was not a brother but a sister. Caroline was bound to be disappointed.

Donald suddenly got up. He told his children, “Hay, Hugh, spend some quality time with Kevin. I’m taking your mom on a drive.”

“I’m going with you, Dad.”

Hugh did not want to be a third wheel.

Donald glared at his son. He scolded, “Why are you going on your parents’ drive? You can go on one yourself if you want to. Don’t follow us.”

Hugh said, “Dad… I’m your son. Your biological son.”

Donald let out a hmph and said, “I’m only talking to you because you’re my son. If it were other people, I would’ve kicked them aside right away.”

Hugh was speechless.

He was certain that he was a free gift given to his parents.

Donald and his wife left within ten minutes. Hugh found an excuse and sneaked out too.

Hayden sighed as Hugh did. She knew her family was creating a chance for her and Kevin to be alone. Was she her parents’ biological daughter? Were they not worried that she would be at a disadvantage if they simply handed her over to someone?

She glared at Kevin.

He said innocently, “I never bribed your parents. They just like me a lot. They treat me as their son-in-law and are letting us have the chance to spend alone time together.”

Hayden said coldly, “How many times have I told you this, Kevin? We aren’t suited for each other. I don’t want to get married either.”

“How would you know we’re not a good match if you haven’t tried it? Anyway, I think we’re made for each other. Everyone gave a compliment when they saw us together. If you aren’t planning to get married, are you going to have your husband marry into your family?”

Kevin smiled and said, “That’s not hard. My parents have three sons. They won’t care even if I marry into my wife’s family. They’ll be content as long as their son can get a wife.”

Hayden was speechless.
