“Mom, are you going to take these to Serenity now?” Jasmine asked her mother while biting an apple.

“Of course. Are you staying for dinner? I’ll come back to prepare dinner after sending these to Serenity.”

Mrs. Sox asked her daughter while she opened the car door to get in.

“Carlson, come with me. You can help me carry the stuff upstairs when we arrive.”

Mrs. Sox called for her husband.

Carlson smiled and said, “I would go with you even if you didn’t call me.”

He opened the door to the passenger seat and got in the car. After giving some instructions to his daughter and son-in-law, the old couple drove off.

Josh stood on the steps of the porch, watching his parents-in-law prepare so many things for Serenity and hurriedly deliver them to her. When his wife came back after closing the gates, he said to her, “They’re giving Serenity as many things as they gave us when you got pregnant.”

“Seren and I have been friends for over a decade. My parents watched her grow up and think of her as their daughter. Now that Serenity is pregnant, my mom is overjoyed and naturally wants to give her stuff.”

Jasmine felt that her parents’ actions were the most normal response.

“Let’s rest for a while.”

Josh held his beloved wife’s hand, and they both went inside.

“If you need to go to work, then go ahead. I’ll sleep for a while and then go back to the store.”

“I’ll accompany you. I’ll go back to the company when you fall asleep. York Corporation belongs to Zachary, but when he doesn’t work, I have to go back to work for him. Sigh, I must have owed him in my past life.”
