Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2345

“Grandma May, you must be busy now as Zachary and Serenity’s wedding is coming soon. It’s your eldest grandson’s wedding after all. I shall not take up more of your precious time. I’ll stay with Quinn.”

Julian was openly requesting the elderly woman not to steal his moments anymore. He needed a chance to show off his charms to Quinn.

Grandma May smiled. “Zack’s wedding is coming, but I don’t have much to do. I’m old and even need a walking stick to move around. Do you think they’d dare order me around?

“I simply have to move my mouth, and everything will be done accordingly. I have a lot of time, and people get bored easily when they’re too free.

“Wildridge Manor hasn’t been this lively in a long while. I’ve never seen so many children having fun at my manor in so long. I like this atmosphere. You can show off all you want. I’m not stopping you.

“If you can’t even win against an old woman, how will you fare when a rival appears? Will you admit defeat and give your destined woman to someone else?”

Julian said, “I’ve never known the taste of defeat.”

Who would dare snatch Quinn from him?

Only those who wished to die.

Grandma May beamed. “You can admit defeat to me now, Julian. If you do, I’ll return to the house immediately and not interrupt your time with Quinn. I have to oversee some matters regarding Zack’s wedding. I’m pretty busy.”

Zachary definitely held his wedding in great importance. Although there was no need for Grandma May to be concerned about, she still felt worried. After all, her eldest grandson’s wedding ought to be grand.

Zachary would head the family in the future alongside Serenity as the first lady of the Yorks. Their wedding had to be as resplendent as possible. That way, it would be difficult to be surpassed by her younger grandsons’ weddings.

Grandma May wanted Serenity to stand tall.

“If you refuse to admit defeat, I’ll keep following you guys. I’m old and thick-skinned anyway. I’m not scared of being a third-wheeler.”

Julian said, “You’re as happy to prove others wrong as ever, Grandma May.”

“That’s right. I love to prove people wrong. Didn’t you say you had never tasted defeat before? I shall let you experience it.”
