Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2361

Duncan was pleased with Liberty having trust in him.

“Are you here to eat? I chose a few dishes that you’d like and asked the kitchen to prepare them. They’ll be served shortly. I have to rush back home now.”

She had been out on errands for the entire morning.

There were still a bunch of matters awaiting her back home.

Serenity could have handled them, but Liberty did not want her sister to get involved. Serenity’s morning sickness was terrible. Liberty would rather her sister not vomit every day than have herself work.

Duncan knew Liberty was busy. He said, “I’ll give you a ride and have a meal at your home. Is that okay? I haven’t tasted Mrs. Lane’s cooking in a long time. I miss it a lot.”

Liberty did not refuse him. “Wait for me here. I have to grab something inside.”

“Okay.”

Liberty went into the restaurant to retrieve her stuff.

Just then, Duncan told the bodyguard behind him, “Get someone to look into Harvey Gray.”

He needed to know his rival thoroughly.

“Yes, sir.”

The bodyguard immediately called to have someone investigate Mr. Duncan’s love rival.

Duncan and Liberty have gone through a lot. Although their relationship was not official yet, she no longer rejected his presence.

No one should interfere during such a critical moment.

The bodyguard felt Duncan had a better chance. His only disadvantage was being wheelchair-bound.

After the bodyguard made the call, a car stopped in front of the restaurant, drawing Duncan and his bodyguard’s attention.

“I think she’s getting ready to get married to Duncan.”

Hank remained silent for a long time before saying, “We’re here today on the excuse of giving Serenity a wedding gift. Let’s not talk about other matters. Even if Liberty does get married to Mr. Lewis, Sonny’s still my son. That’s an irreversible fact.

“Let’s get off and greet Mr. Lewis.”

If Liberty married Duncan, Sonny would be lucky to have a far better stepfather than his biological father.

Having returned from the brink of death, Hank could not drive an Uber temporarily and needed to rely on his parents for survival. He could not provide a conducive environment for Sonny to grow. Sonny was better off living with Liberty and Duncan.

Hank had to admit that Duncan’s love for Sonny was sincere.

He and Chelsea walked toward Duncan.

Duncan straightened his back when he saw Hank. Although he could not stand up, he had to exert a stronger aura.
