Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2372

Trenton scowled.

In the past, Trenton nearly believed his aunts and turned against Camryn.

Thank goodness his conscience drove him to do the right thing, and he did not fall for his aunts’ wicked plan.

Brenda and Amy were now trying to drive a wedge between him and Camryn since they could not seek forgiveness from her.

“I know who is to blame. You only got what you had coming. I don't care that you resent me. I enjoy watching you fail. You can't take what isn't yours. This is what you get for being greedy.”

Camryn did not see the point of arguing with Brenda and Amy. She had watched her aunts reap what they had sown, and that was enough.

“Let’s go inside, Trenton.”

Camryn whisked Trenton away.

“You’ll regret it, Camryn! You’ll rot in hell!” Brenda yelled as Camryn and Trenton walked away.

Camryn walked to the door and told the housekeeper, “Unleash the hounds in the backyard. If my aunts come back to stir up trouble, release the dogs. I don't want to give them any respect. No need to show them any courtesy. Trenton and I are cutting them out of our lives from now on.”

The housekeeper acknowledged Camryn’s instruction with respect.

Camryn had become more assertive now that she could see again.

The domestic help had witnessed Camryn's ruthless side.

After stepping into the house, Camryn said to Trenton, “They didn’t speak up and even covered for the killers after my father was murdered more than two decades ago. That’s a crime, but I couldn’t sue them because the statute of limitations has passed. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have tolerated their occasional fuss at the house.
