Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2621

The janitor threw a note into Carrie’s car and left. She intended to tell Carrie that someone was waiting for her at a bakery near the hospital. However, Carrie berated her from the get-go using offensive language. The janitor had to endure it and refrained from swinging the broom at the car, not wanting to say another word when she was being treated like that.

Carrie thought the janitor was throwing garbage into her car.

When she picked up the note and was about to get out of the car, she unexpectedly found words written on it: [Meet me at the bakery, Mrs. Clark.]

Carrie then realized the janitor was delivering the note to her, wanting to explain why she had knocked on her car window.

She wanted to get out of the car to catch up with the janitor, but the person had already gone far. Considering the harsh words Carrie had just used, even if she caught up, the janitor might not want to talk to her.

Carrie could only drive away from the hospital.

She inferred that Mrs. Clark must be nearby to have asked the hospital janitor to pass her the note. By checking nearby bakeries, she might locate Mrs. Clark.

Carrie must find Mrs. Clark, only then could she exact revenge on Camryn and gain some financial support to overcome her current difficulties.

The somewhat intelligent Carrie found Mrs. Clark in a bakery near the hospital, who had just bought a bag of bread.

Carrie got out of the car, but Mrs. Clark walked past her and in that brief moment, Mrs. Clark whispered, “I’m being watched. I’ll contact you after I shake that person off my tail.”

Mrs. Clark then got into the car and the driver drove away.

Carrie did not dare to turn her head and went straight into the bakery to buy two random items.

Meanwhile, Zachary received a message with a photo attached.
