Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2753

Caroline said, “I don’t have one, Mom. I was just asking. But will she be recognized by the family?

“She’ll be acknowledged as long as she’s your blood. The Fishers will be with you throughout your pregnancy and birth. Once the child is born, they’ll accept her.”

Caroline replied, “If so, why do I have to get married? If I don’t wed, then I won’t have to worry about scumbags getting a share of the family’s assets.”

Belinda was speechless.

She must be out of her mind. Why was she suddenly talking to Caroline about this?

Maybe her husband’s betrayal had ruined her mood and she could not resist nagging her daughter about marriage.

Caroline continued, “There might still be flaws even if everything is planned out well. The best solution is to give birth to a daughter without marrying the man. Without getting a marriage license and becoming husband and wife legally, the man won’t be able to take any assets. There won’t even be any shared assets between us from the start.”

Belinda said, “Caroline, pretend I never said anything. I still hope you’ll have an ideal partner by your side so you won’t get lonely.”

“Why will I be lonely after having a daughter to myself? Being a matriarch is stressful and busy. There are so many things to take care of every day. When will I even have the time to feel lonely?

“I don’t have a man I love, yet I have to give birth to a daughter to become the matriarch. I should learn from the fourth missus of FC Manor.”

“What happened to Celine?”

Belinda was shocked by her daughter’s ideas. She quickly changed the topic.

Due to her old age, her thoughts were more conservative.

“She cried at our gates for a night and was splashed with cold water by my sisters-in-law this morning. After that, she ran away for fear of them making things worse for her. I don’t know where she went. Adrian gave her some money and a bank card, but Emma snatched them back.

“You mentioned that Celine was only allowed to take her clothes. Everything else belonged to the Fisher family.

“Emma, Ava, and Ellie were simply executing your orders.”
