Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2793

Hayden said, “Shameless. I still care about my reputation.”

Kevin chuckled. “I am shameless indeed. If I cared about my reputation, I wouldn’t have been able to win my wife over. I learned this from Zachary. In fact, he has never pursued his wife, but he always said you need a thick skin. My big bro used to be very concerned about his image. After getting together with Serenity, he gradually stopped caring.”

During the initial period of their marriage, the both of them had a lot of fights, and often gave each other the cold shoulder.

Kevin knew about it but did not dare to pry.

Sometimes, when they gave each other the cold shoulder, even Grandma May had to step in.

Hayden could not help but burst into laughter. “When Mr. Zachary hears that you call him shameless, you might be in trouble.”

According to her knowledge, the young masters of the York family had a special respect for the eldest in their generation, Zachary. They were also afraid of him.

Zachary maintained a cold and arrogant demeanor in front of outsiders. However, with Serenity, he seemed to transform into a different person.

With such a brother, even if he was just a cousin and due to the lack of family divisions in the York family, living together in Wildridge Manor since childhood had created deep familial bonds. Zachary, as the eldest, held ample authority, commanding respect, and awe from his cousins.

“Zachary is not here. Besides, I’m just telling the truth. He became more shameless after getting Seren. We are just following his footsteps.”

Hayden chuckled. “If you are shameless, just be shameless yourself. Don’t blame others. Alright, we’re getting ready to go out. Kev, let me ask you a question. If I wear an evening gown but don’t wear high heels to attend the banquet, will people laugh at me?

“Would you mind if I am laughed at?”

Kevin looked down at the pair of high heels left on the floor and smiled. “Why would I mind? When have I ever been afraid of what others think? I always do what I want. If I cared about others’ opinions, we wouldn’t be so lovey-dovey today.

“If I cared about how others see me, I wouldn’t have openly pursued you in the first place.”
