Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2809

Serenity said, “It’s not just Sonny. Even I want to stay in my bed in the morning. Jensburg must be colder, right? I saw my friends posting that it’s snowing there. Wiltspoon doesn’t snow, but it gets cold here when the north wind blows from places snowing there.”

Wiltspoon’s temperature could go as low as 45 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. During the day, it would usually be about 55.

Temperatures like that were not considered cold to those residing in the north, but they were to Wiltspoonians, who were used to warmer temperatures.

“Wrap Sonny in more layers. The preschool’s winter uniform isn’t thick enough.”

Sonny was only three years old. It would be a lie to say she was not worried as she was not by his side.

“He’s already wearing more layers. Don’t worry, I won’t let Sonny catch a cold. You must take care of yourself over there. Wear more clothes and don’t fall sick.”

“I’m not a child. I know how to take care of myself. Are you heading into the office today? Wiltspoon’s temperature has been dropping these days. It’s gotten colder too. Why don’t you rest at home and not return to the company for now? Zachary can provide for you. You don’t have to work to pay any bills.”

Liberty was trying to persuade the pregnant Serenity to rest at home despite being extremely busy herself.

“It’s okay. There’s nothing much going on in the company. I’ll just sit here for a while and head to the bookstore later. Josh has two days off work, so I told Jasmine to rest and leave the bookstore to me. They can finally have some relaxing time together.”

It would also prevent Josh from complaining to Zachary that he did not even have time to spend with his wife over a meal.

Liberty did not nag at Serenity. She knew Serenity would not change anyway.

She had gotten disconnected from society in the past because she spent too much time at home throughout her pregnancy. After giving birth, she also focused on her child and barely spared time for herself, which caused her to become unhealthy.
