Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2893

Rosella said, “I didn’t. She was just here to create a scene and ruin your reputation. I met her but didn’t let her into the manor. I went out to meet her.

“How could I give her money? She’ll only come back for more when it runs out.”

Rosella was not that stupid. She said, “Your sister had gone too far with her words. I had someone cover her mouth and drag her away after hearing a few sentences.

“She’s your sister. Regardless of how things are between you two, I thought I should let you know that she came to the manor to ask for money.

“I’m just informing you, Camryn, not blaming you. Don’t take it to heart. I think I was nice enough to not release the dogs on her after what she and your mother did to you.”

Rosella explained because she thought Camryn misunderstood she was angry.

No matter the circumstances, Carrie was still Camryn’s sister and a young lady of the Newmans.

However, she had gone to the manor to ask for money and humiliated Camryn. Although Rosella had stood up for Camryn, she needed to let her know about it and be on guard.

“I know. I don’t blame you, and I won’t take it to heart. She can do whatever she likes. It would be unlike her if she didn’t.

“You did the right thing by not giving her money. If you did, she’d suck us dry. Carrie’s an adult with a healthy body. If she wants to spend money, she should earn it herself. You can release the dogs on her the next time she comes. She’ll probably stop coming after a few scares.”

Camryn had used the same strategy against Carrie.

Whenever Carrie came over, she would tell the butler to let the dogs out.

Carrie would run away faster than a cheetah. The spoiled daughter of the Newmans had a vicious and threatening mouth but would not walk the talk.

Carrie had been able to bully Camryn in the past because Camryn was at a disadvantage from being blind.

“I know. Carrie probably has someone giving her ideas behind the scenes. Just be careful, Camryn.”
