Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2896

As for Trenton’s share, Camryn had not taken it.

Still, Newman Enterprise was under her control.

“Mom told me that you should just ignore her. If she curses you, just gag her and leave.”

Callum’s tone turned cold.

Apart from Trenton, he despised all the Newmans, including their relatives.

His beloved wife’s relatives could give Serenity’s crazy relatives a run for their money.

The Hunts now wanted to reconcile with Serenity but there was zero chance of that. She stopped caring about them long ago. Apart from collecting rent from those few families, all of which she sent to the old Hunt couple every month as their living expenses.

Occasionally she might add a bit of allowance on top of that, sort of a reconciliation between the grandparents and their grandchild. It was also how Serenity did well by her late father by taking care of his parents.

However, there was no way Camryn and her relatives would ever make peace.

“Yeah, Carrie isn’t that smart to think of asking Mom for money. She must have been talked into it by my two aunts who probably thought it was a win-win situation for them because either they get to ruin my reputation or money in their pockets,”

Camryn chuckled. “What use is reputation to me? I don’t care if I have a good or bad reputation. Can a good reputation fill my stomach? Can it prevent me from getting bullied? Can it give me back the ten years I lived without sight?

“So what if my reputation is bad? Will it affect my meals? Will it physically harm me in any way?”

She had been through so much and was on the verge of death so many times that it had been ages since she cared about her reputation.

As for whether her in-laws cared, Callum knew what sort of person she was when he married her and only did so because he had not disdained her. If he had, she would not have married him either.
