Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2899

Right then, some people arrived.

Naturally, the new arrivals were employees from the manor.

They carried over two chairs for the two female employees to let them sit and even delivered food to them.

“Janice, Lucy, Madam Rosella said you guys have worked hard and asked us to bring chairs over for you two to sit on, as well as dinner for you both. She also asked us to tell you that for every hour you stand watch here, she’ll pay you one day’s wage.”

Janice and Lucy said smilingly, “Thank you.”

The two of them worked every day in the flower fields at the foot of the hill, which had honed their strength, so it was very easy for them to handle a pampered girl like Carrie.

They were very delighted Madam Rosella had entrusted them with such a task. It was much easier than working in the flower fields and they had not expected Madam Rosella to pay them handsomely for it.

Since they were being paid one day’s wage for every hour they stood to watch over the girl, they wished she would stay there for ten days, or even two weeks. That way, they would have a grand time when they went home for the holidays this year.

Madam Rosella even provided them with meals.

The young lady was still hungry too. It would be stranger if she was not, given that she had vomited a few times now.

Although it was not cold or hot at the moment, once the sun went down the temperature would fall. It was a bit cold at night in Wiltspoon.

They wanted to see how long Carrie could hold out. If she had the gall to ask Madam Rosella for money, she had to have the ability to get it!

The two who delivered the chairs and food to Janice and Lucy took a look at Carrie who was standing not far away and asked Janice in a low voice, “Does Ms. Carrie not intend to leave?”

Janice opened the box of food and saw that the meal was very generous. They normally cooked for themselves to save money so their meals were usually average. Although the manor subsidized their food expenses, they were just frugal, so they did not eat as well as their colleagues in the manor.

“Nope. She’s so stubborn. She said she had to get the money from Madam Rosella and even said she had called the paparazzi over. You guys should head back, let Madam Rosella know, and stop those paparazzi from getting up here so that that girl doesn’t get to see them even if she waits until the next day.
