Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2944

Hunter knew Caroline did not wish to talk to him. He said, “I’m a little tired after watching a movie. I’ll get some rest now.”

Caroline wanted to shift Hunter into a lying position, so Darren offered his assistance.

She accepted his help.

“Darren and I will be close by, Dad. Call us if you need anything. Adrian will be here to accompany you later.”

Hunter said, “Why is Adrian coming? Aren’t you supposed to take care of me for two days? Are you unwilling?”

“Adrian is your child too. Is there anything wrong with him taking care of you when you’re hospitalized? What does this have to do with my willingness? I’m not your only child.”

Hunter was rendered speechless. He quickly recovered and said, “Adrian has to go to work.”

“I do too. I’m busier than he is.”

Hunter still wanted to retort, but Caroline used Belinda as an excuse, “Mom told me to come over to talk to you. She also assigned Adrian to take over an hour later.”

Upon hearing that it was his wife’s orders, Hunter could not refute it.

He was curious about Celine’s situation but dared not ask Caroline.

What was Celine doing?

She was hiding near the inpatient department’s entrance. She stared at the doors, waiting for Belinda to appear.

Finally, she spotted Belinda.

Belinda was exiting the building with her bodyguards. Celine immediately ran over to her.

However, the bodyguards around Belinda were not just for show. Before Celine could approach her, they made their moves.

Belinda could chase her out of the family and take away her last name. It did not matter. Celine could use her original family name, but not before Belinda gave her the assets she owned previously.

Without money, her life had been tough and restricting.

Her sisters-in-law kept adding insult to injury. They would bully and humiliate her whenever they caught her.

She had gotten into a fight with them several times.

How could she not know the perpetrator behind the mess she was in?

It must have been her three sisters-in-law.

They were nice to her when she was the heir to the Fisher family, treating her as they would a younger sister.

However, they joined hands to harm her in the end.
