Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3022

Camryn had learned how to build a wall around her; rumors could not hurt her at all.

Her aunts and Carrie had tried various ways to ruin her reputation by going to the York family, yet all their attempts had failed.

The only person she cared about, Callum, had chosen to trust her and stay by her side unconditionally. There was nothing that could hurt her anymore.

“That’s right. Ignore what others say. Many people used to badmouth Elisa too. They kept criticizing her.

“Didn’t you think Elisa was nice after getting to know her? That’s why it’s better not to care about other people’s opinions. They’re just jealous.”

Camryn replied, “Yes. They’re just jealous. Elisa was hit the worst out of all of us.”

Luckily, Elisa had always had a positive attitude. She continued doing things her way despite the rumors about her.

It was obvious that those people were just envious of her courage to pursue Zachary.

Zachary was the man of countless women’s dreams when he was single. However, none of them had the guts to pursue him.

On the other hand, Elisa dared to confess and pursue him openly. Regardless of whether she succeeded or not, the jealous women started defaming her with vicious words.

After Zachary and Serenity announced their marriage, many people laughed at Elisa behind her back.

They were hoping for her and Serenity to turn against each other.

However, the public were disappointed.

Elisa was cool enough to let go of the past.

After knowing Zachary was married, she immediately cut off her feelings for him. She ended up finding her happiness and was about to marry into the Johnson family, the elites in Annenburg.

Wiltspoon’s businessmen were well aware of Remy’s excellence.

Another wave of envy arose because of that.

After all, she was simply a guest, and Tasha was the host.

“Everyone is a guest. Please invite her in,” said Tasha to the maid.

Since the Houses managed to invite the York ladies, the guests who came were also part of Wiltspoon’s high society.

Mrs. Longbottom’s presence only meant she must have received an invitation too.

Her status would not be insignificant.

Nevertheless, Tasha had never heard her mother mention Mrs. Longbottom before.

“I’ll go and greet Mrs. Longbottom.”

Tasha changed her mind. Regardless of Mrs. Longbottom’s status, her welcoming Mrs. Longbottom as the young lady of the Houses was a show of respect.
