After inheriting his parents' assets, Trenton handed over everything related to business to Camryn while keeping the money himself.
He was not short of money.
Nevertheless, it was great that he still went to work instead of just spending the money he had.
“I know, Cam.”
“Okay. Go on with your reading. I’m back at Wildridge Manor. Grandma May and I are taking a stroll and admiring the flowers now.”
Trenton hung up and Camryn caught up to the rest.
Serenity asked, “Who were you on the phone with for so long?”
“Trenton.”
“Doesn’t he have classes today?”
Camryn smiled. “You asked the same question I did. Today’s Saturday. We don’t have to work, let alone him. He usually tutors during the weekends, but he has a day off today because his student got sick.”
Serenity laughed. “I really did forget.”
They smiled at each other.
After that, Camryn made a call to get someone to check if Carrie was really sick.
Not long after, she received a reply. No hospital had records of Carrie being diagnosed with polyps.
Camryn guessed that Carrie had lied to Trenton for money.
Carrie did seem healthy to her. Her voice was energetic and high-pitched when she scolded her. She did not look sick at all.
Well, having polyps was not something that could be observed from one’s appearance.
However, there was no information on Carrie being diagnosed with the condition at all.
