Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3067

Darren said, “I’m afraid it might sully your ears, Ms. Caroline.”

“Hearing anything she did would have the same effect. I guess I can build up some immunity by listening to more things related to her. I’ve even heard about her worst scandal anyway.”

“It seems like she’s planning to seduce your three brothers.”

Caroline said, “Is she trying to get revenge on my sisters-in-law?”

Darren replied carefully, “I don’t know what she’s planning. She can’t possibly start a business in her state. Madam Fisher won’t allow it. She’ll never get a job. Madam Fisher probably won’t let her get a decent job either.

“Celine won’t be satisfied leaving Jensburg this way. She holds too much hatred for you all. Therefore, she has no choice but to choose that path.”

The corners of Caroline’s mouth twitched. She said, “If I were her, I would’ve left the Fisher family and Jensburg after discovering that I wasn’t Madam Fisher’s true daughter and that my dad had switched us at birth.

“If she had chosen to do so, Madam Fisher would’ve given her a sum of money out of the remaining love for her. She could have even taken away everything she used to own and started anew at a place where no one recognized her.

“Her life would’ve been decent that way. After all, my mom had spent over twenty years training her. She would’ve had the money to invest in a business and probably find success.”

Unfortunately, Celine made the wrong choice.

She did not want to lose everything the Fisher family could provide her.

Celine thought Caroline was merely a country bumpkin who did not know anything and stood almost no chance of becoming the successor, whereas she had been trained as the heir since birth and still held a chance at that.

That was why Celine did not leave.

It was all wishful thinking.

Initially, Caroline did not intend to go against Celine.

However, she had no choice but to do so when she returned to the Fisher family.

Only one winner could emerge between them.

Darren said, “Everyone chooses differently. We’re all adults. We should bear the consequences of our own choices.

“She can’t blame anyone for her walking this path.
