“I’m going to go settle the score with Adrian. He’s just a leopard that can’t change its spots,” Emma replied to Caroline as she walked.

In her fury, she was walking faster than usual and in the blink of an eye, she had already reached the other side of the hall and exited the main house.

Caroline soon heard the sound of an engine revving from outside and realized Emma had indeed gone out.

After delivering the food upstairs to her mother, she made an excuse to leave and hurriedly left to follow Emma.

Caroline was not worried that Emma would do anything impulsive in anger, but rather, she was worried that Adrian and Celine would join hands to make Emma suffer a loss.

On the way there, Caroline received a call from Darren.

“Where are you headed, miss?” Darren heard Caroline had gone out and called to enquire.

“Emma’s gone to confront Adrian and Celine. I’m worried she’ll suffer, so I’m going after her to help.”

Darren chuckled. “You’re not going to watch the show?”

“I mean, I am, but I’m helping Emma too.”

“Sounds like fun. I kind of want to join in too.”

“Don’t. Mr. Gordon is nearby.”

Darren said gently, “Since Mr. Gordon is around, I won’t go over then. Be careful, don’t get hurt, Ms. Caroline.”

“Don’t worry, I’m pretty good at fighting.”

Darren laughed. “That’s because you haven’t gone up against professionals. Just one move from a trained expert could have you flat on your back in a split second.”

After a pause, Caroline said, “I’m driving. I’m hanging up now.”

Caroline used her driving as an excuse to end the call with Darren when he popped her delusional bubble of her being a good fighter.

Emma and Caroline arrived at Summitview one after another.

Emma was at a loss. She had no idea where to start looking for Adrian and Celine.
