Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3244

Imogen could not relate to the topic of children. She had not even gotten married yet.

Although she had a target, the marriage probably would not happen.

After they chatted for a while, the school bell rang and the students were off.

Sonny played behind the cashier counter while the three adults got busy.

When the sky turned dark, and the students had left, Serenity told Jasmine and Imogen, “Let’s go have dinner together.”

“I want to have Italian food,” Jasmine suggested.

Serenity said, “Italian again? Have you been craving that lately?”

“I’ve always liked to eat Italian in this weather.”

Serenity looked toward Imogen. Imogen said, “I’m fine with anything.”

“I guess the pregnant woman gets priority. Let’s go have Italian.”

Jasmine laughed. “You’re speaking as if you aren’t pregnant yourself. Your baby is just a month younger than mine.”

“A month still counts. My baby will still be in my stomach when you give birth.”

Serenity took Sonny’s bag and called out, “Let’s go, Sonny. We’re going to have Italian food.”

Sonny was ecstatic. He loved the warm atmosphere at Italian restaurants.

“Are Uncle Zak, Uncle Josh, and Dunc coming, Aunt Ser?”

Sonny walked out of the cashier counter. When he was about to ask Serenity to lift him, he remembered that she had a baby in her stomach. He was old enough and could not let her carry him anymore. It would tire her out, so he put down his hands.

However, she got lucky afterward.

She suddenly became the missus of the wealthiest family in Wiltspoon and was now with child. As long as she gave birth to a son, he would be the successor of the York family. That way, her position in the York family would be more secure.

“Mr. Charles had said that Serenity was destined to live a wealthy life. You can’t be envious of what was already bound to happen. If something is meant to be, it will definitely happen.”

“Mr. Charles really is something. I told him to predict my future, but he only said I should be content with my current situation. Is the rest of my life going to be like this?

That lady’s husband said, “Are we in a bad state? We have a house, a car, and enough savings. Having a house in the city center alone puts us ahead of many people. We just have to worry about our children’s education now.”

After hearing her husband out, she was rendered speechless.

He was right. Although their lives were not comparable to Serenity’s, they were in a much better place than many others.

She would learn to be content.
