Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3255

Imogen retorted, “We just hit it off right away, alright? Why do you have to call it kissing ass?”

Dylan paused and said, “Since you’re back and we bumped into each other, why don’t we go on a walk? It’ll help with your digestion and we can talk while we’re at it. I won’t be coming here tomorrow. I’m busy too, you know.”

After a moment of thought, Imogen also felt that it was better to talk it out that night, though she knew Dylan’s answer even without doing so. He had made himself very clear last night. She just had not said that she was going to give up on him, which gave him no choice but to talk to her.

“Alright, I’ll have to trouble you to walk with me so I can digest, then. But what if I get hungry again after we get back? You know that exercising and using up energy will make one hungry.”

Dylan was speechless for a moment. “I finally understand why you, Jasmine, and Serenity managed to hit it off right away.”

They were all foodies! Why did he not know she liked eating that much? He did know she was not that picky, though. Either way, she was much better than Austin’s match, Isabella. He heard Isabella was a particularly finicky eater. That was why she often changed chefs and it was also the reason Austin had gone to be his future wife’s private chef.

Dylan wondered if Austin’s pursuit was going well but quickly reined himself back to the present. He laughed self-deprecatingly. His own issues were enough trouble as they were. He did not have the energy to pay much attention to Austin’s pursuit.

Austin still had lots of time anyway. He had only just started and had a whole year ahead, while Dylan only had a few months left. York men would never lose. He believed that a year later, Austin would bring his bride home.

“If you’re hungry later, I’ll treat you to supper then, alright? I won’t let you starve. I have to be a good host and treat you now that you’re here in Wiltspoon.”

Imogen stepped forward to take his arm, which shocked Dylan into hurriedly leaping away.
