Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3365

Caroline met Adrian just as he was exiting the elevator.

They stopped in their tracks.

Adrian walked out of the elevator first. Caroline was in no rush to enter either.

“Are you heading out, Caroline?”

Adrian had a file in his hand. Maybe he had a document that required her signature.

Since his mother was not around, the most crucial stamp of approval was Caroline’s.

Many important documents would only be valid with her signature and stamp.

Adrian usually assigned the task of obtaining signatures to his secretary, having rarely done it himself.

Caroline replied, “Yes, I have some things to attend to. What’s the matter?”

She glanced at the file in his hand.

Adrian did not pass it to her. He said, “I have a document that needs your approval.

“Can you leave a little later? What do you have to do? Is it urgent?” Adrian asked gently with a hint of probing.

Unless Caroline was going to meet a business client, her whereabouts were mostly unknown to him. It was difficult to track her.

He did assign some people to be on her tail.

However, they would be thrown off quickly. Caroline would then tell the Clark brothers off and report it to their mother. They would be reprimanded by their mother.

Caroline’s assistant, Darren, was formidable like Mr. Gordon.

“Just stuff. I can sign and stamp the document for you first.”

“Did Mom mention when she’ll be coming back, Carol?” Adrian asked.

“She didn’t tell me, and I guess she probably won’t tell us the actual timing. She doesn’t like people knowing her schedule.”

Adrian sighed and said, “Yeah. I’ll need Mom to help me talk to my mother-in-law about the divorce. I’ve indeed wronged Emma many times, but I don’t want a divorce for the sake of our children.”

Caroline did not even raise her head. She said sharply, “It’s probably because you can’t bear to split the assets with Emma, right?

“Emma has tolerated your affairs and chose to forgive you, but you shouldn’t have gotten involved with Celine. Although you two weren’t related by blood, she grew up with you all and had always been a younger sister to you.

“Before my return, Emma and the rest have always viewed Celine as their sister-in-law and treated her well.

“Not only did you cheat on Emma with Celine and get caught, you even beat Emma up for her. No one can tolerate that. You also have a daughter, Adrian. Won’t you feel sorry for her if she was in Emma’s shoes?

“I think you’ll be so livid you’ll want to tear your son-in-law apart. Similarly, Emma has parents and siblings too. Their family will be upset and get angry for her. They probably wish to beat you up too.”
