Chapter 115 Christian Came to the Rescue
Don’t worry. I will no longer bother you anymore, and I won’t overestimate my abilities to compare myself to someone else in your heart.
It was enough to experience such unbearable pain once in her life. It was truly an unforgettable experience that she would never want to endure ever again.
Nancy had no strength left in her body and couldn’t hold on any longer.
Her entire body collapsed to the ground with a loud thud.
Water splashed across her face since the ground was covered in nothing but muddy water.
When she hit the ground, it hurt tremendously, but she couldn’t feel it anymore.
The rain continued to pour down, and the sky was getting darker, indicating fewer cars on the
road.
In the distance, Dylan was gripping the steering wheel of his Jeep with both hands. Suddenly, he rubbed his eyes frantically.
“Boss, there seems to be an accident up ahead, but the rain is so heavy I can’t see. Can you take a look?”
When he heard the word “accident,” Christian, who had initially shut his eyes lightly, immediately snapped them open. He straightened and focused intently on the road ahead with his raven eyes.
When he saw a car overturned on the side of the road, his heart clenched as he immediately confirmed Dylan’s doubts. “It’s an accident. Pull over.”
“Yes, boss.”
As the car came to a stop, the two men rushed to the scene of the accident. Soon, they discovered the driver in the driver’s seat.
At the same time, Dylan spotted a white figure lying on the side of the road.
Fortunately, Nancy was wearing a white dress today, which made her more visible in the darkness and heavy rain. Therefore, she was relatively easy to spot.
“Boss, another person is lying unconscious over there.” Dylan pointed to Nancy.
“I’ll go over there. You get this driver out,” Christian instructed.
He quickly ran toward Nancy after giving out his orders. When he lifted the woman lying on the ground and saw her face clearly, his heart skipped a beat.
Nancy? Why is she here? Why was she involved in a car accident?

Christian desperately suppressed his pounding heart as he gently patted her face while calling out loudly, “Nancy, wake up… Wake up…
“Wake up. Nancy
He swiftly placed Nancy in the car and turned to Dylan. “Her injuries are very severe, and her life is in danger. I need to take her to the hospital immediately. I’ve also checked the driver’s condition. Although he’s unconscious, his injuries are not life-threatening. You stay here and call
“Okay, boss. Be careful.”
When Dylan finished speaking, he noticed that Christian had already placed the woman in his arms in the car and was speeding down the road.
At this point, he wasn’t aware yet that the girl Christian was holding in his arms was Nancy.
Christian sped on the road, completely disregarding the terrible weather.
A torrential rain was pouring in the dark night. It was quite fortunate that there were not many cars left.
Nonetheless, this kind of weather didn’t faze Christian in the least. His driving skills were as sharp
as ever.
Then, he dialed Luciana’s number with trembling hands.
Due to the heavy rain, Luciana had gone to bed early. So, her voice was groggy when she answered, “Hello, why are you calling me in the middle of the night? You’d better have something very important to say.”
“Yes. It’s extremely urgent and crucial, Christian replied, his usually steady and powerful voice carrying a hint of tremor.
That slight detail did not escape Luciana’s ears as she demanded, “What’s wrong? Christian, did you get injured during a mission?”
Christian getting injured was the biggest fear of the Zayns.
“It’s not about me, Lucie. Don’t panic for now, but I need your help. You have a friend who is a professor in the ob-gyn department, right? Please contact her for me. I have a friend who needs her personal care, and I’m already on the way to see her.”
“What’s happening?” Luciana was confused and needed more information.
“It’s a long story. You just need to help me contact her right now.”
Luciana could tell that Christian was in a great hurry. So, she didn’t press for more details and replied, “Alright. Don’t rush it. I’ll arrange it for you right away.”

“Thanks, Lucie”
Christian looked at Nancy after hanging up the phone and continued to call out her name, “Nancy, wake up!”
“Nancy, don’t sleep. Wake up…”
The more awake she was at this moment, the stronger her will to survive, the lower the danger, and the greater the chance of staying alive.
Therefore, he had to wake her up.
So, Christian kept calling Nancy’s name throughout the entire journey to the hospital.
Nancy seemed to sense something in her dazed state. Her body felt warmer, and her surroundings were soft and warm.
The heavy rain was no longer washing her body, and she wasn’t as cold. Someone was also calling her name urgently, “Don’t sleep, Nancy. Don’t sleep.”
It sounded so warm but urgent. Was it her mother?
Or perhaps her grandfather?
No, it couldn’t be her grandfather because he would always call her a “little brat.”
It had to be her mother, then.
“Mom,” Nancy murmured and finally forced her eyes open.
The car had already come to a stop, and Christian was carrying Nancy into the ob-gyn department.
As she felt the warmth of the embrace and finally saw the familiar face before her, she couldn’t help but burst into tears. Her voice trembled as she asked, “Christian?”
“Am I mistaken? Is it really you?”
If she hadn’t opened her eyes, she would have doubted herself.
Christian was ecstatic when he heard her finally responding. He lowered his head and exclaimed, “It’s me. You aren’t mistaken.”
“Are you finally awake?”
Naney quickly realized the situation. “Were you the one calling my name and telling me not to sleep?”
“Yeah.”
