Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 18

Chapter 18 He Took Out Her Pajamas?

Nancy was flustered for a while. When she was about to speak, Nicholas said, “Aunt Gloria, it’s okay. There’s no way she is pregnant.”

“But Mr. Sallow, based on my experience, Mrs. Sallow does show pregnancy symptoms.”

Nicholas frowned and said in a decisive and straightforward voice. “Impossible.”

Nicholas was going to say that they had been using contraception, and Nancy also took birth. control pills. However, Nicholas feared his grandfather would lecture him again, so he changed. his word.

“I’ve been busy with work lately and spent most of my time on business trips. We haven’t slept. together at all.”

These words eliminated Aunt Gloria’s suspicion.

Although Aunt Gloria was slightly disappointed, she immediately scooped up another bowl of soup for Nancy. “Mrs. Sallow, you are still young. You will have a child soon if you take good care of your body.”

Nevertheless, Jacob might be unable to wait longer due to his physical condition.

After dinner, everyone went to work.

Since Aunt Gloria had mentioned her pregnancy just now, Nancy couldn’t hold herself and looked at him. “I have something to ask you.”

“What is it?”

“When Aunt Gloria said I might be pregnant, why were you so calm and confident? You never thought, what if I was pregnant?”

Nicholas suddenly narrowed his eyes and frowned.

Shortly, Nicholas said coldly to Nancy. “That’s impossible.”

“I mean, just in case.”

“Even if that happens,” Nicholas looked more serious and continued, “It’s not the right time for us to have a baby now. Besides, I won’t allow it.”

Nancy was burt once again. It was the same answers before. Nicholas never thought of having a baby with her.

If he knew about her pregnancy, he would feel it was a burden.

I’m sorry, Dear. I still couldn’t win Dad’s love for you.”

‘But don’t worry, no matter how difficult it is in the future, I will never give up on you. No matter what your father decides, I look forward to your birth. Hence, you must grow up healthily in my belly.’

Although sad, Nancy still tried her best to smile and not show any flaws.

While they had just sat in the living room for a few minutes, Uncle Joe told them their grandfather had woken up.

“Really? Let’s go up now.”

Nancy was so happy, so she grabbed Nicholas’ arm and walked upstairs.

Nicholas let her hold his arm and followed her upstairs.

Jacob lives in the most antique room in the house. It has a study room, a bedroom, a lounge, and

a meeting hall. The room has good ventilation and is very bright because it has windows in the north and south areas.

When Nancy took Nicholas’ arm and went in, she saw Jacob walking over with a cane.

“Grandpa.”

Nancy immediately let go of Nicholas and ran to Jacob to hug him.

Nancy looked like Grandpa’s granddaughter, Conversely, his grandson looked like a grandson-in- law, like an outsider.

“Nancy, I miss you so much. You finally come back home.”

Seeing Nancy, Jacob was thrilled. His face was not as pale as before and became more radiant. instead.

Uncle Joe said, “Sigh, Mrs. Sallow is so powerful. After you return, Mr. Jacob instantly regained his energy. It is more useful than having me care for him for a month.”

“Of course not, Uncle Joe. You and Grandpa are flattering me.”

Three of them chatted happily.

Jacob’s laughter echoed in the room. The evening sun shone on his clothes like a layer of gentle and bright golden light.

Nicholas last saw such a warm scene a long time ago.

Nicholas has to thank Nancy for this.

Grandpa was more like a big child as he got older. He was especially willful and had a bad temper.

However, Nancy was very patient and always found a way to cheer up Grandpa and make him happy.

As a grandson, Nicholas felt ashamed of himself.

When he came to his senses, he was alone in the room. Nancy was helping Grandpa walk down. the stairs. She said something and made Grandpa laugh.

Therefore, Nicholas was blatantly ignored.

Nancy spent the evening with Grandpa. They had tea, chatted, watched TV, and told stories.

She brought joy to Grandpa with her contagious energy. She was playful, intelligent, gentle, and lovely as if she could make people happy by looking at her.

Nicholas looked at the bright and charming smile on Nancy’s face. He suddenly seemed to understand why Grandpa insisted he marry Nancy in the first place.

Nicholas was a bit cold and even a bit eccentric sometimes.

Nancy’s cheerful personality made up for Nicholas’ shortcomings. She was very lively, like a tiny bright sun which always brought warmth and strength to people.

Nicholas wondered who this tiny sun would shine on in the next three days.

Nancy returned to the room after Grandpa went to bed at night.

Nicholas had already taken a shower. He was lying on the bed and reading a book. He looked more handsome in a dark gray bathrobe. He was so sexy and charming.

Nancy’s heartbeat was racing like

This guy.

crazy.

Why was he lying on the bed and trying to seduce her after showering? He was not ashamed at all.

Nancy quickly turned around and opened the closet to look for pajamas. Before reaching in, Nicholas’ deep voice came, “Don’t bother to look for it. I’ve taken them out for you.”

“Wha… what?”

Nancy looked at him. Her face suddenly blushed.

When she remembered they were still married, Nancy realized her reaction was too much. Hence, she immediately calmed down and said, “Why did you take my pajamas? Did you accidentally take the wrong pajamas!
