Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 30

Chapter 30 Nancy Was Robbed

After Nancy saved the number, she saw something surprising.

His WhatsApp profile was his picture wearing a police uniform, holding a gun, and looking high- spirited.

Apparently, he’s a police. No wonder he was so helpful earlier.

When she was little, Nancy had a particular fondness for police. Today, this police officer personally helped her twice, and Nancy’s liking for them has grown even stronger.

“Please send me your bank account number. I’ll return the money to you.”

After speaking, Nancy dragged her suitcase and sat by the window.

During the red light, Nancy looked out the window.

On the sidewalk, there were students jumping, people assisting elderly pedestrians, and food. delivery workers on electric bikes.

Seeing all of these, Nancy suddenly felt that life had become more vibrant.

Or perhaps this is the proper life for her.

If it weren’t for her mom helping Grandpa, she wouldn’t have known the Sallows, let alone had the opportunity to marry Nicholas.

After graduation, she’s also an ordinary citizen. She was commuting to work every day by car, going back home, following a routine, busy and hustling for a living.

Although it was tough, this was her original course of life.

She wouldn’t worry about losing, nor would she walk through life carefully.

But if that’s the case, she would never have the chance to meet Nicholas again.

At the thought of this, a dull, tender pain started to ache in Nancy’s chest, pulling at her heart gradually, almost making it hard for her to breathe.

“Nicholas, I love you.”

“Nicholas, I love you.”

Madelline’s words kept on echoing in her mind like a spell gone wild.

Suddenly, the bus sped up as if it had gone crazy, and the road ahead was full of bumps and

hollows, making Nancy feel like she was almost being thrown off.

More importantly, her stomach began to churn wildly.

She was already feeling uneasy in her heart.

Now, her stomach is upset, too.

All the emotions that had been restrained for days suddenly unleashed themselves at this

moment.

Tears suddenly fell from her eyes, dropping into her palms, still warm.

Nicholas, you rotten man, you foolish man, I hate you so much.

“Big fool, I won’t talk to you anymore.”

Nancy muttered angrily in her heart, but the more she cursed, the more upset she felt.

More tears followed.

She felt utterly embarrassed, a total mess. She couldn’t believe she was crying in broad daylight..

She reached into her bag, searching for tissue, but she couldn’t find any.

She must have been in a hurry when leaving and forgot to bring it.

While she was in the midst of her worry, a pair of clearly defined hands suddenly held out a pack of tissues in front of her.

Nancy looked up and saw the same man from earlier, his face as stern as ever.

“Thanks!”

The bus was too bumpy, and by the time it reached the next stop, Nancy couldn’t bear it any longer, so she decided to get off early.

She was pulling her suitcase and about to get out of the back door when suddenly her ears were hit by a sharp pain.

The pain was so intense that she almost passed out.

When Nancy regained her senses, she saw a man with dyed blond hair and jeans subdued on the ground, screaming in pain.

And the person who saved her was the same man from earlier.

She reached out and touched her incredibly painful car, only to discover that it was all bleeding.

Once she touched it, her hands were instantly covered with bloodstains.

“Don’t move for now. Go to the hospital later,” the man looked at her and said in a deep voice.

He checked the bus station sign and took out his phone to make a call, “Yes, Greenfield Station, you guys come over quickly.”

In less than five minutes, the police arrived.

After asking Nancy a few questions, they took the robber away.

“Wait.”

Suddenly, the man shouted, reaching out to the robber, “Where’s the thing?”

“What thing? I didn’t get anything,” the blond man retorted stubbornly.

“Hand it over. I don’t want to repeat myself.” His voice was cold and intimidating, making people. tremble just by looking at him.

“Here you go.”

The next moment, a slightly cold earring landed in his hand.

However, the earring was still covered in blood, making it look less appealing.

Just as he was about to hand it over to Nancy, his phone rang.

“Hello, Boss, where are you? I’ve been looking around for you.”

“I had some temporary business. I am at Greenfield Station.”

“Okay, Boss, hold on. I’ll be there in three minutes.”

“Alright.”

The man hung up the phone and approached Nancy. There was more and more blood dripping from her ear, flowing down her neck, quickly staining her white collar red.

The small earlobe was heavily swollen due to the bleeding, causing the specific condition of the wound not to be seen. However, it was clear that it was swollen badly.

She furrowed her brows, biting her lip forcefully, showing signs of great pain.

But she endured it, not shedding a single tear.

Taking a deep breath, Nancy felt the pain intensify.

She initially thought her ear had only been pulled by that person, causing some redness and swelling, and applying some ointment would be fine.

However, now that it was bleeding and causing severe pain, she couldn’t bear it any longer.

She hesitated for a moment but eventually decided to call Nicholas.

Веер … Веер…

One second passed, then five, then ten…

The beeping sound of the phone was slowly consuming Nancy’s waiting.

When Nancy was about to hang up the call, the call finally connected. She felt happy for a moment, thinking that Nicholas had finally answered.

“Nicholas, I…” was injured.

Before Nancy could finish her sentence, she heard Lynn’s voice, “Mrs. Sallow, it’s me.”

“Where’s Nicholas? Is he there? Is he available now?”
