Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 58

Chapter 58 Christian, I’ll Treat You A Cup of Coffee

The doctor nodded. “Yeah, that’s right.”

“Could you please call him in?” Nancy asked.

“I told him to go downstairs to pay the bill. He’ll be up in a moment. Just wait a bit.”

“Okay.”

After the doctor left for a few minutes, someone opened the door.

“Come in.”

When she saw the man in a police uniform standing in front of her, she immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, it wasn’t Nicholas. He didn’t know it yet. Great!

“How are you feeling?” Christian walked to Nancy’s bedside and initiated a conversation.

“Well, I’m not in a serious condition anymore. Thank you. The doctor told me that it was you who paid the bill. Let me transfer the money to you.”

Nancy opened her phone, but the man across from her was still standing upright, with one hand. hanging at his side, showing no intention of taking out his phone.

“Give me your number and let me transfer the money to you,” Nancy repeated.

“I am Christian Zayn.”

At this moment, Christian finally spoke, his voice deep and textured, a distinctively masculine low

tone.

Christian Zayn?

Why did this name sound familiar?

Nancy quickly searched her memory and stared at his face for a while. Suddenly, she slapped her head in realization and exclaimed, “Oh, it’s you! I remember now.”

She typed “Christian” into the search bar, found his name, and transferred the medical expenses.

Apparently, it was him.

He helped her on the bus last time and helped her subdue the robber. Nancy always thought they would never have the chance to meet again, but she didn’t expect to meet again so soon.

And he helped her again.

“It’s really unbelievable that I meet you again.”

“By the way, I’m Nancy.”

After Nancy finished speaking, Christian’s phone rang.

It was Dylan who called. “Boss, the guy has regained consciousness.”

“Alright, I’ll be right there.”

After hanging up the phone, Christian looked at Nancy and said, “Take care of yourself. I have something to do, so I have to leave now.”

“Okay” Nancy nodded.

As Christian was about to leave her room, Nancy suddenly spoke up, “I’m sorry, I need to apologize. The doctor must have mistaken you for my husband and scolded you.”

“I’m fine.”

With that, Christian left hurriedly.

After receiving her IV drip, Nancy felt a little drowsy and decided to nap.

She slept through the afternoon.

When she woke up, the sun had set.

The vast evening glow painted the entire sky in shades of red and orange, creating a beautiful sight when viewed at a glance.

Nancy opened the window, feeling the gentle breeze on her face, which was quite soothing.

After standing by the window for a while, she decided to go downstairs.

She thought a leisurely stroll and enjoying the scenery might improve her mood.

However, little did Nancy know what awaited her.

As she arrived at the rehabilitation park below, she saw them.

Under the evening sun, Nicholas was pushing Madelline. One standing, dignified and elegant, while the other sitting, exuding gentleness and beauty. Their silhouettes were bathed in the beautiful sunset glow, as if they were covered in a layer of silver light, making them exceptionally beautiful.

They looked so harmonious, like a perfect match.

Even more like a loving husband and wife, living in harmony and happiness.

Nancy suddenly felt a sharp pain in her eyes.

It was obviously such a beautiful sunset, such a soft and gentle light.

However, at this moment, she felt like the light was piercing her eyes, forcing her to shed tears.

She stood there, feeling like her feet were weighed down, as if they weighed thousands of kilograms, impossible to lift.

She wanted to lift her feet, to turn and leave.

But her body felt incredibly heavy.

On the winding path, Nicholas pushed Madelline, and they were getting closer.

Their figures became clearer and clearer.

Nancy didn’t want to see them, not at all.

Using every last ounce of her strength, she turned around and quickly walked back.

However, after taking just a few steps, she heard a loud call from behind, “Nancy…

Nancy felt like she had been enchanted and immediately froze in place.

Behind her, Nicholas frowned, looked at Madelline and asked, “What did you just call out?”

Madelline immediately pointed at the figure in front and exclaimed, “It’s Nancy, quick, look, she’s right ahead.”

Nicholas looked over, and indeed, the silhouette seemed like Nancy’s. However, she wasn’t supposed to be at the hospital.

Early this morning, he had returned home..

Nancy wasn’t at home. He called her, but there was no answer.

So, he sent her a message, and Nancy replied that she was at school. How could she suddenly appear at the hospital?

“She does look like Nancy, but I don’t think it’s her,” Nicholas replied confidently.

Madelline insisted, “I’m certain, that silhouette is hers.”

“Nancy.”

Madelline shouted loudly again, quickly wheeling her wheelchair forward to catch up.

Nancy immediately lifted her feet and hurried ahead.

When she reached the corner up ahead, she quickly turned and entered the elevator.

As the elevator doors closed, Nancy finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Although she didn’t know where she was going next, she had to leave the hospital immediately.

She didn’t want to see the two of them together.

The elevator chimed, and when Nancy was about to go out, she realized the elevator was going

When the doors opened, Christian entered.

It was him?
