Chapter 212
The driver came up to them, “Mr. Dashiell, I snagged a number earlier, we’re up soon.”
Cedric trailed behind, his mind boggled as he glanced at the driver, feeling a pang of sympathy for

Remington didn’t show much emotion, snatched the paper from the driver’s hand, and led Lizetta to the window.
But that very night, the driver got shipped off to the boonies, though that’s a story for another day.
At the moment, the lady who handles divorce looked at the striking couple before her, her face etched with regret.
“Have you two really thought this through? If not, please go see our mediator over there.”
She didn’t finish her sentence, as Lizetta and Remington almost cut her off in unison.
“We’ve made up our minds.”
“No need.”
The lady sighed, seeing their resolve, she figured there wasn’t much else to say.
No kids involved, and the divorce papers were already signed.
But when she glanced at the divorce agreement, she got ticked off.
What’s the deal with this divorce agreement? The guy isn’t giving his ex–wife any assets, and why is the woman coughing up 3 million?
Her gaze at Remington lost all admiration and became one of disdain, and then she turned to Lizetta.
“Miss, did you really sign this divorce agreement willingly?”
Lizetta nodded, “Yes, it was voluntary.”

Chapter 212
“There’s a 30–day cooling–off period, during which either party can have a change of heart and withdraw the divorce application. After 30 days, you can come and collect your divorce certificate.”
After clarifying the procedure and handing back the documents, Lizetta asked, “I’m leaving the country in a few days. Do I have to be here in person to collect the divorce certificate, or can a friend pick it up for me?”
As she finished her question, the chill around the man beside her intensified.
He looked down at her, his voice seething through clenched teeth, “Huh, Lizetta, is this how you half–ass our divorce?”
Lizetta felt a bit guilty: she had actually looked it up online and knew that one had to collect the divorce certificate in person.
But she’d be abroad when the time came, and coming back would be too much hassle.
More importantly, she was scared that by then her pregnancy might show, and Remington would find out.
So she’d asked, brazening it out.
But the clerk shook her head, “After that, it has to be collected in person; no one else can do it for you.”
