Chapter 251
“Yeesh, ease up, it’s me.” A deep, familiar male voice came from above.
Lizetto only then realized, belatedly, that the embrace holding her was just as familiar.
The scent of cold pine from the man brought a sense of comfort to her nose

she had been too wound up just before to notice.
She felt all the tension drain out of her, loosening her bite and leaning into Remington’s arms.
Remington shook his hand that got bitten, his eyes and brows exuding a helpless vibe..
“Jeez, got a taste for it, have you?”
F
His chin hadn’t even healed yet, and now his palm sported a new set of teeth marks the kicker was that Lizetta had bitten the same hand he’d previously injured with a credit card.
The wound that had just closed was now reopened by her bite, a palm full of blood blooming.
Lizetta grabbed Remington’s hand in shock, exclaiming, “I didn’t bite that hard, how can it be bleeding so much?”
Seeing droplets of blood hitting the ground, Lizetta grabbed Remington’s wrist, “Hurry up, let’s get this disinfected and bandaged.”
This kind of injury didn’t need a nurse’s attention; Lizetta had bought iodine and gauze and was tending to Remington’s wound in the glass corridor between the outpatient building and the inpatient ward.
As she applied iodine to his palm, she noticed that the cut wasn’t from her bite at all.
“How’d you get this?”
“You care about me now?” Remington quirked a lip, not answering her question but deflecting with one of his own.
“What was that all about just now?”
Lizetta looked up with a complex expression, glancing at Remington.
He felt her gaze landing somewhere odd, as if she was looking at his hair.
He reached up to touch the top of his head, “Something stuck there?”
Lizetta shook her head, “Just checking if your girlfriend is cheating on you.”
Remington chuckled and pinched Lizetta’s chin, his eyes darkening slightly.
“What do you mean by that?”
Lizetta slapped away his hand, “Go ask your darling Ms. Hawthorne.”
Remington’s brows furrowed, and Lizetta pulled out her phone, “I caught something on tape, I’ll show you, but don’t go flying off the handle, okay?”
Remington let out a scoffing laugh, “Maybe you should fetch me some heart pills first?”
Lizetta rolled her eyes and handed over the recording.
As soon as she hit play, the camera was shaky, with no clear view of people, but there were two distinct panting sounds.
Remington looked at Lizetta with an amused, teasing expression, “You showing me a sex scene?”
Lizetta awkwardly scuffed her foot on the ground, glancing around to make sure no one was nearby.
She quickly turned down the volume on her phone, annoyed, “Just watch properly!”
Then Evelina’s voice came through, and the camera found its focus, bringing the scene into view.
Lizetta had reached out awkwardly to record the video and hadn’t seen clearly who the male lead was.
She hadn’t had the chance to watch the video yet.
Curious, she leaned in to watch together, but before she could see the screen clearly, Remington pulled her into his embrace and covered her eyes.
“What the heck!”
Lizetta tried to pry his hands away, but he held tight, leaning close to her ear with a stern and displeased voice.
“Liz, who taught you to go filming people’s sex scenes? Did you see anything?”
Remington’s voice had a note of irritation and interrogation, and Lizetta was a bit dizzy from it all.
What was he on about?

Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
