Chapter 276
How could Lizetta not be nervous?
She’d always been ticklish around her waist, and he must know it–that was why he kept skimming around
that area.
Every s
spot he touched with his big hands turned to mush, as if it was about to melt right into his palm.
And it sent waves of tingling pleasure through her, stirring her up. Meanwhile, Lizetta was worried sick the bun in her oven might get discovered, even though her belly was still flat as a pancake.
Remington probably couldn’t feel a thing.
“Why so quiet? Don’t like me touching you like this anymore? I remember you used to be all over it.”
Remington leaned in close to Lizetta’s ear, his breath hot and his kisses barely there, peppering her neck and behind her ear.
Lizetta’s cheeks were burning, a mix of embarrassment and irritation.
She started to squirm, “Back off! Did you drag me back here just for this?”
Remington pinned her down hard, lifting his head from her neck, his eyes half–closed and sharp as knives.
“Got nothing to say to me? Think hard.”
Remington’s face was all calm and collected, but there was a dangerous vibe brewing all around him, like a storm about to break.
The thought of this woman keeping her pregnancy secret from him and planning to jet off with another guy boiled his blood, jealousy surged like high tide, shredding his sanity to pieces.
He was giving her one more chance to come clean about the pregnancy, to tell him herself!
But Lizetta was f
freaked out by his icy, threatening demeanor, and she was fuming too.
“Nothing! We’re divorced, I’ve got nothing left to say to you! You, Remington, are the big shot of Zion City. You could have any woman you want. If you’re in the mood for this, go find Evelina, you–Mmph!”
Before she could finish her rant, she was silenced by his lips crashing down on hers.
The kiss was fierce and punishing, full of rage and possession, not an ounce of tenderness, sweeping away all of Lizetta’s senses.
At the same time, his hand moved from her waist to a softer, more undulating territory, roughly kneading
under her top.
His body against hers was even more dangerously wild.
Lizetta was scared out of her wits, she bit him, and a faint taste of blood spread between their lips, but he didn’t stop.
She tried to hit him, but he caught her hand, interlocking their fingers, and pinned her back down on the leather coach seat.
The whole car was filled with a mix of intense, breathy sounds and the roar of passing traffic outside the window.

Chapter 276
This was happening on the way to the airport, in the car.
If it weren’t for the familiar scent of Remington all over her, Lizetta would doubt if this man, seemingly driven mad by desire, was really him.
After two years of marriage, he’d always been restrained and cool, she never knew he could lose his mind
over this.
In the tangle, her clothes were a mess, her oversized sweater pushed up to her chest, her jeans tugged off, leaving Lizetta with bare, slender legs shaking as they were trapped in the leather seat.
Remington bent her knees apart, poised as if ready to drill through her.

Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
