Yolanda sneered, "Isn't Mr. Dashiell supposed to be all capable? Why bother asking me? Go find her yourself! No, you'd better stop searching. You won't find Liz! I don't know where she's gone; but even if I did, I wouldn't tell you. I won't let you to harm her! You... Mmph!"
With Yolanda's incendiary words, Remington's eyes grew colder, and a murderous aura enveloping him.
Cassius broke into a sweat for Yolanda, and rushed over to cover her reckless mouth.
"Remi, she's just got a sharp tongue. I've already asked her; she really doesn't know anything."
Cassius was worried about Yolanda. Since she was taken from the banquet last night, he had followed her here.
Holding Yolanda in his arms, he addressed Remington with urgency.
He had known Remington for many years and had never seen him lose control like this. Yolanda's actions at this moment were beyond foolish.
"There's no need for you here! Mr. Sterling, please leave," Remington said coldly.
Ray immediately stepped forward, reaching out to pull Cassius away.
But the next second, Yolanda shrugged off Cassius's restraining grasp and aimed a kick at Ray.
Ray dodged swiftly with a quick sidestep.
Yolanda then grabbed a porcelain plate of cupcakes from the table, and flung it at them. Remington remained motionless, unfazed, but caught the plate with precision.
Some cream spattered his stoic face, and the cakes fell to the ground.
The atmosphere turned tensely silent in an instant.
Cassius felt that at any moment that Yolanda, in her fearlessness, was about to meet a violent end under Remington's hand.
He quickly got up from the sofa, stepping forward to snatch the plate from Remington's grasp.
"Remi, I know you're upset, but we need to stay calm here!"
He was trying to douse the flames, but Yolanda stood up, stoking the fire as she glared at Remington and angrily said:
"When Liz loved you, how did you treat her? At the time of that incident, Liz was only eighteen years old!

The readers' comments on the novel: Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington)
Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
