Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington) novel Chapter 611

Lizetta froze for a moment, then with a sudden burst of energy, she turned and shoved the person behind her, her voice full of emotion as she lashed out.

"I told you not to touch me! Save your pathetic concern!"

When she needed him most, his care and protection were always missing.

His concern afterward was always too little, too late.

"Liz... don't be like this, it's me."

As her vision blurred with tears, she heard a man's voice and forcefully wiped away her tears to look up.

Standing a short distance away was a man, tall and scholarly with silver-rimmed glasses, looking concerned.

It wasn't Remington, but Hogan.

Lizetta froze for a moment, then quickly turned her face away, embarrassed. She wanted to wipe her face, but Hogan stepped forward and offered her a handkerchief.

Lizetta hesitated, then took it and quickly dabbed at her face. Knowing her embarrassment, Hogan spoke first.

"Liz, I'm sorry, I just finished back-to-back surgeries and only just heard what happened..."

He sighed softly, extending his hand, "Let me help you back to your room."

Lizetta looked up, her expression back to normal, and shook her head with a smile.

"It's okay, I can walk on my own."

But as she took a step, her legs gave way, nearly causing her to fall.

Hogan swiftly caught her, and at that moment, a familiar female voice rang out.

"Liz? What's going on here..."

Hearing the voice, Lizetta's eyes filled with disdain.

She looked up and sure enough, it was Stella.

Stella, dressed in a red dress suit with a black silk scarf tied around her neck, her makeup bright and vibrant, stood a few steps away with a servant by her side.

Her gaze lingered on Lizetta and Hogan, loaded with insinuation.

As if accusing Lizetta of impropriety.
