Remington was quite pleased with his assistant's response. As soon as the elevator doors slid open, he strode out confidently.

Lizetta hurried out of the Starlight Group building with Lillian trailing behind her, eager to ask questions.

"Lizetta, sorry about bumping into you back there at the elevator. It wasn't intentional. But do you know that guy we just saw? He looked exceptional, not your average person. Is he one of the executives at Starlight Group? What's your connection with him?"

Lillian had dashed out of the elevator first and only realized Lizetta had bumped into someone when she turned back. That man, with his striking appearance and aura, was indeed unforgettable. Lillian couldn't shake off the feeling that she had seen him somewhere before.

"Just someone I know," Lizetta replied coolly, not keen on elaborating.

But Lillian wasn't satisfied and continued to probe.

"Our trip here seems pointless without even a chance to discuss business. We'll be the laughingstock when we return. If that man is an executive at Starlight Group, Lizetta, maybe you could ask him for a favor? It might just change things for us…"

Lizetta was replying to Remington's WhatsApp message when she finally looked up at Lillian.

"I'll find a way to pursue the partnership."

However, she didn't want to bother Remington directly. She was determined to handle her own affairs without relying on him. She didn't believe in rejecting Remington on one hand and then seeking his help on the other.

Yet, Lillian snorted at her response.
