Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington) novel Chapter 874

Remi's fox-like grin widened, "Hey, congrats Remi! Surely, I played a part in this victory, didn't I?"

Cassius couldn't stand Timothy's smug look and quickly chimed in.

"Even if Remi's making headway in wooing his lady, what's that got to do with you? Besides, what kind of progress is that? He's still in the chase, isn't he?"

To Cassius, this didn't seem like any progress at all.

Remi shot him a look, "You wouldn't understand."

Why did Cassius feel that look was full of disdain?

"How would I not understand? Ever since Remi got divorced, hasn't he been on the chase? And here he is, still chasing."

Timothy gave Cassius a look that was hard to decipher, bewildered at how the acclaimed actor could be so clueless.

On set, the guy could empathize with any character, suggesting a high level of emotional intelligence.

Yet, away from the cameras, Cassius's EQ seemed to plummet.

"Of course it's different. It's like comparing having a driver’s license to driving without one."

"Chasing a woman and driving a car? What's the connection?"

Cassius clearly still didn't get it.

Timothy moved closer, trying again.

"Let me put it this way, chasing a girl without her blessing is like being a relentless pest. But now, if she gives you the nod to court her, it means she's accepting your affection and intentions. As long as you don't mess up, you're practically the boyfriend-in-waiting."

Cassius raised an eyebrow, "So, you're saying all this time Remi's been nothing but a relentless pest to Litchi?"
