Just as luck would have it, Yolanda was also at the office that morning. Her agent had lined up two script meetings for her to sign contracts.
The two women met in the parking lot, and Lizetta couldn't help but ask as soon as she hopped into Yolanda's car, a grin on her face.
"Did everything go smoothly? How are the scripts? And hey, how are things with your agent? If you two aren't meshing well, you gotta let me know, okay?"
She was already thinking about finding Yolanda a new agent.
Yolanda's agent was Amy from Madden Media, a top-notch agent known for her efficiency and knack for landing roles.
She had quickly found Yolanda two roles, but upon review, Yolanda felt they weren't quite right for her.
One was a lead role in a romantic drama, and the other was a secondary role in a fantasy series.
Both were high-budget productions, which spoke volumes of Amy's ability given Yolanda's current standing in the industry.
However, the lead role felt like a token part added just to pass network scrutiny, leaving Yolanda less than impressed after reading the script.
As for the fantasy series, not only did it overlap with a previous role that had gained Yolanda some recognition, but it also risked typecasting her.
The character was described as a stunningly beautiful, yet cold and distant beauty — a stark contrast to Yolanda's sweet, girl-next-door looks.
Yolanda declined both roles, and Amy didn't make a fuss, instead suggesting they attend a dinner with a renowned director to discuss another part.
Considering Yolanda wasn't keen on Amy's recent suggestions, she felt obliged to accept the invitation.
But she didn't want to burden Lizetta with this, especially since Lizetta had already done so much for her.
Lizetta's stepmother currently ran Madden Media, and Yolanda had her reservations about her.
She didn't want Lizetta asking favors from that woman on her behalf.
"It's all good, really. Remember, I've got a top-tier contract with Madden Media. I've got plenty of freedom, so don't worry," Yolanda reassured her.

Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
