Lizetta barely had time to gasp before the man's tongue boldly invaded, sweeping through and claiming hers with a fervor that left her breathless.
His warm, firm hand cradled the back of her neck, leaving her no room to escape or even think of retreating. He held her close, demanding her complete surrender.
Her body felt like a soft teddy bear, melting against his solid, iron-strong chest. It was like being caught between a cloud and a furnace, with every inch of her being aware of him.
In that instant, Lizetta was lost, caught up in the heat of the kiss, unable to form a coherent thought. It wasn't until he had thoroughly explored every inch of her mouth, leaving her breathless and teary-eyed from the sheer intensity, that he pulled back slightly and spoke in a deep, husky voice.
"Consider this a warning kiss, Liz. Don't you dare go back on your word."
Lizetta was still catching her breath, her hair tousled from his fervent kisses. A stray lock clung to her lip, dark against her flushed, rosy skin, creating an intimate contrast.
His eyes, deep and intense, flickered as he gently brushed the strand back behind her ear, his touch sending a shiver through her.
Her cheeks were flushed with a rosy hue. "You were the one who said those things, don't pin it on me."
Her words seemed to ease the tension within Remington, but he didn't let her go. If anything, her response only highlighted the contrast between his relaxed mood and the tension simmering in his body.
His breath was hot and heavy against her, pressing closer, his voice a low, gravelly accusation. "You may not have said it, but that's what you meant."
Lizetta could feel the heat radiating from him, the air in the car thick with his presence and the unmistakable scent of his cologne.
Outside, the city buzzed with life, cars passing by. He was utterly... relentless.
Blushing to the tips of her ears, she pushed at him, flustered and embarrassed. "Okay, okay, I take it back. Just stop."

The readers' comments on the novel: Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington)
Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
