The Secret Pregnancy of the Billionaire’s Ex–Wife
Chapter 175: The Deleted Text That Destroyed Everything
Sean POV
Christina’s face immediately regained its composure, her practiced mask of innocence sliding back into place. The momentary slip I’d caught was gone as quickly as it had appeared. She forced a light, confused laugh.
“What are you talking about? Me borrowing your phone? That was five years ago, Sean. She tilted her head, looking puzzled, “Why bring that up now?”
I kept my gaze fixed on her, trying to control the storm brewing inside me. “Why did you do it, Christina?”
Her breath caught for a fraction of a second, doubt flashing in her eyes. I saw it clearly–that momentary panic of someone whose lies were being exposed.
“Do what? I just helped clean up some spam messages.” She laughed nervously. “Is that some kind of problem?”
“I never mentioned anything about deleted messages,” I said quietly, watching her face carefully.
Her eyes widened slightly before she caught herself. Too late–I’d noticed her reaction. That message wasn’t spam at all. It confirmed everything I’d begun to suspect.
I tightened my grip around her wrist, my fingers digging in with increasing pressure. “What exactly happened that day, Christina?”
“Sean, you’re hurting me…” she whimpered, her eyes filling with tears.
I ignored her discomfort, my anger growing by the second. “That message was from Angela, wasn’t it? About her pregnancy?”
“No,” Christina insisted, shaking her head vigorously. “I never saw any message like that…”
She shot a desperate glance toward William, who despite his bloodied face and bruised ego, lumbered forward like an angry bull to her defense.
His polished loafers slipped on the hospital’s smooth floor, sending him sprawling in an undignified heap before he could reach me.
“That’s quite the coincidence,” I continued relentlessly. “You deleted a spam message on the exact same day Angela texted me about our child?”
Christina’s tears spilled over–her ultimate weapon, one I’d seen her deploy countless times before. “For you, I nearly sacrificed my own life! That yacht accident… if I hadn’t been there…”
The reminder of my life debt caused my resolve to falter. My grip loosened. Even if my suspicions were correct–and I was becoming increasingly certain they were–she had saved my life. What right did have to condemn her?
I released her wrist, stepping back. “Stay away from Angela from now on,” I warned coldly, furning toward the hospital room.
I closed the door behind me with a definitive click, leaving Christina and William in the hallway. Whatever game they were playing, I wanted no part of it. Not anymore.

When I entered Angela’s hospital room, her amber eyes lifted to meet mine.
The twins sat nearby, coloring in activity books Thomas had thoughtfully provided. My chest tightened at the sight of them–my children–so innocent and unaware of the chaos surrounding the adults in their lives.

Chapter 175: The Deleted Text That Destroyed Everything
“Aria, Ethan,” I said gently, “would you mind giving me some time alone with your mother? We need to discuss something important.”
Angela raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised I’d asked the children rather than her. I wanted to respect them, to show them I saw them as people with their own agency, not just extensions of their mother.
Aria considered my request solemnly before nodding. “Okay. We can go to the nurses‘ station. They said they have ice cream.”
She tugged her brother’s hand, and they quietly slipped from the room after a reassuring nod from Angela. My heart swelled watching them–they were so much like her, so much like me.
When the door closed, Angela sighed. “If you’re trying to explain your relationship with Christina, there’s no need.”
“This isn’t about Christina and me,” I clarified, taking the chair beside her bed. “It’s about you. Five years ago, you sent me a text
about your pregnancy.”
Angela’s expression grew guarded. “Is this still about that text message from last night?”
“I think I know who deleted it,” I said, coming straight to the point. “After you sent that message about your pregnancy, did Christina come to see you?”
She nodded slowly. “Yes, she did.”
