She’s Married, Sir! Novel Chapter 10
Once she had everything ready. James dispatched his assistant, Henry, to come and get her.
Scarlett got into the Maybach, carrying her bag.
She had anticipated that Henry would take her directly to James‘ house, but she was surprised when he brought her to the mall instead
Several stylists and make–up artists surrounded her immediately, applying exquisite makeup.
The expensive evening gowns were tailor–made for her, fitting her body perfectly without any flaws.
The diamond necklace worth tens of millions of dollars on her neck gave her a noble and elegant look, fresh and refined.
She looked at her bright and beautiful self in the mirror and felt that she was not like her but like Scarlee.
If Sebastian saw her in this manner, he might believe she was intentionally emulating Scarlee.
She laughed at herself, her smile a little bitter.
After the transformation, Henry quickly sent her to Night Club.
This was the most opulent Gold–Consuming Den in the Town, frequented by the wealthy and the noble.
Great attention was paid to privacy here, with no surveillance whatsoever.
Many wealthy men enjoyed engaging in unsavory activities here.
James most likely chose such a place to play her to death.
Scarlett’s heart leapt as quickly as the elevator as she contemplated the prospect of being raped.
As the elevator neared the top floor, she took a deep breath, tightened her grip on the bag in her hand, and followed Henry out of the elevator to the door of the private room.
Henry swiped his VIP card and the luxurious automatic door opened slowly.
As soon as the door opened, a flood of ambiguous light spilled out, and the gentle blend of European and American music softly caressed her ears.
Scarlett was surprised; logically, James‘ taste should have been for a nightclub style, but the decoration here was high–end, grand, fresh, and refined, and the music was not as loud as a nightclub, but rather quite comfortable.
Scarlett, standing at the door, was suddenly embraced around the waist by a broad and powerful hand.
James pulled her into his arms, lowered his head, and kissed her cheek. “Baby, you are so beautiful today.”
She was so disgusted that she wanted to vomit. She turned her head to avoid his touch, but she accidentally saw the man sitting on the sofa area.
He was wearing a white shirt, its collar slightly open to reveal his seductive collarbone.
He had his sleeves rolled up, revealing his strong arms. His well–defined fingers were gripping a wine glass.
Under the dim light, the red wine inside glowed a blood–red hue, just like the way he gazed at her. It was so vivid that it was terrifying
Scarlett was slightly surprised since she hadn’t expected Sebastian to be there.
She had believed that Sebastian and James did not belong to the same social group.
At least, Jackman Group was an Asian tycoon who controlled the economic lifeline of Asia.
As for Forrest Group, it was just A Town’s big shot. Compared to the Jackman Group, it was insignificant.
She did not anticipate that the two men would come together in such a secluded spot.
Scarlett suddenly felt fortunate that she had not phoned Sebastian that day.
Otherwise not only would she suffer loss of face, but she would also be mercilessly rejected.
After all, why would Sebastian offend his good friend for her?
