Chapter 108
“Mr. Gatsby…”
“Get out.”
Before he could finish speaking. Dev scolded him, causing Phylo to close his mouth and turn away to depart.
The only person who knew the truth and forged everything from Phylo had died.
Scarlett, as the person involved, must have known something.
As Dey was wavering over whether to approach Scarlett directly, the front desk attendant entered with a package box.
“Mr. Gatsby, this is your package.”
When Dev heard that there was his own package, he frowned slightly. “What package?”
The receptionist placed the package on the table and respectfully replied, “It was sent by Miss Sales”
When Dev saw the name of the sender column, it was indeed Scarlett. He waved his hand and asked the receptionist to leave. He opened the parcel and when he saw the dress and shoes inside, his expression suddenly darkened.
Scarlett actually returned all the things he had given her.
Dev felt as if his heart was blocked by something, and even breathing became difficult.
She must have been extremely disappointed in him, so she didn’t even want the things he had given her.
Scarlett slept for about ten hours. In a daze, she was woken up by the sound from the television.
She opened her eyes with great difficulty and saw the news of Jackman Group and Napier Group’s business marriage.
“The heir of the largest tycoon in Asia, Sebastian, will be engaged to Napier family in two months.”
“The business marriage between the two big groups will bring a tremendous change to the Asian market…”
The man on TV was noble and cold, no different from usual, but there was a woman holding his arm next to him.
The two people attended the high-profile marriage proposal banquet, announcing their engagement news to the well-known upper-class guests who had come to congratulate them.
Scarlett had once hoped that he would marry her, just as he had proclaimed her to be his fiancee to the world.
However, her extravagant hopes were only wild wishes, destined never to be fulfilled, not even a trace of pity from him. She thought it was a good idea for them to get engaged, so that she would not be left with any hope of them not doing so. She let go completely and smiled with relief.
Struggling to move her body, she sat up from the sofa and lifted her trousers to take a look.
It was still swollen. After taking the medicine, it would disappear, but there was no reaction this time.
She sighed, took out the medicine bottle, and poured more than ten pills into her hand.
She increased the amount of medicine she gave herself because she didn’t want Susan to see her haggard appearance when she came back.
Scarlett has been taking her medicine at home on time, and her legs have been gradually recovering, allowing her to walk again.
Despite being slightly swollen, it wouldn’t have much of an impact.
She had taken too much medicine, making it easy for her to fall asleep.
If not for the fact that Susan had returned from her honeymoon trip, she would definitely be unwilling to get up today.
Susan sent her a message informing that she had brought a specialty from Malaysia and asked her to go downstairs to assist with the moving.
Scarlett typed in WhatsApp’s frame: “What specialty did you bring? Is it bulky and heavy?”
Susan quickly responded, “It’s not too heavy, just a bit too much. Come lend me a hand!”
Scarlett replied with a good reply and, before turning off her phone and going downstairs, a message from WhatsApp came in
Since she replied to Mr. Yea with a Tll talk about it in a few days”, he hasn’t sent her a message since.
She thought he was tired of playing with her after two times and had no intention of pestering her further.
She did not anticipate his obedience and asked him to wait a few days before discussing it further. He agreed to wait patiently for her to contact him.
Scarlett was a little stunned when she saw the words “Come to Night Club.”
Although he was very obedient, her bones could not endure his torment.
Scarlett pondered for two minutes before responding. “I haven’t been feeling well lately. Could I wait a bit longer?”
