Chapter 2 

After Sebastian had gone, Leo Baber, his personal assistant, entered with the medicine. 

He handed the medicine to Scarlett and said politely. “My apologies, Miss Sales.” 

Sebastian was ordering her to take contraceptive medicine again. 

He would always send Leo to deliver the medicine and observe her taking it. 

Scarlett’s heart ached anew as she gazed at the white pill. 

The pain was so intense that it was difficult to breathe. 

“Miss Sales…” 

Leo, seeing that she did not respond, immediately reminded her, fearing she would not take it. 

Scarlett glanced at him, took the pill without hesitation, popped it into her mouth, and swallowed it without a sip of water. Leo then took out the property ownership certificate from the document bag and, one by one, placed them in front of Scarlett for her to check. 

“Miss Sales, this is the compensation from Mr. Jackman. Besides the property and a luxury car, he also gave you an additional fifty million dollars. Please accept it.” 

He was exceedingly generous.

Scarlett looked up at Leo and smiled. “I don’t want these.” 

“Do you think it’s too little?” Leo was a little confused.

Even Leo thought that she was doing it solely for money, and Sebastian would think the same. 

Was he afraid that, by giving her such a high breakup fee, she would pester him for money in the future? 

Scarlett smiled bitterly. She picked up the bag next to her and took out a black card from it. She handed it to Leo. “This is what he gave me before. Please help me return it to lum Also, help me tell him that I have never used a single cent from 

him.” 

Leo was utterly astonished. Over the past five years. Miss Sales had not spent a single penny of Mr. Jackman’s money. 

Scarlett, not caring whether Leo believed her or not, placed the black card directly on the pile of property ownership 

certificates. 

She spun on her heel and departed E Mansion. 

The winter in A Town was a little cold. 

Scarlett strolled down the street. 

Her slender silhouette was mirrored on the ground, looking utterly forlorn. 

Tightening her beige coat and gritting her teeth, she walked back to the apartment step by step in her high heels. 

Pushing open the door, she stepped into a vast interior that occupied the entire floor, and the decor was extravagantly luxurious. 

Scarlett, in contrast, felt cold and devoid of warmth. 

After sitting on the sofa for a while, blankly staring, she began packing her things. 

This apartment had been given to her by Sebastian. 

Since he no longer wanted her, she no longer wanted the things he had given her. 

Scarlett took her luggage out, opened the wardrobe, and packed all her clothes into it. 

She packed up her belongings and, suitcase in hand, left the apartment. 

After having sat in the car, she sent Leo a text. 

Mr. Baber: the password to the apartment is 0826. 

Upon seeing the text message, Leo, being a smart person, immediately grasped the situation. 

Miss Sales had not only not spent a penny of Mr. Jackman’s money, but she also had no desire for the apartment he had
