She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian) novel Chapter 220

Chapter 220.

“I thought dying for love was just an ancient legend. I didn’t expect someone to actually do it.

Travis words, bit by bit, seeped into Scarlett’s ears, piercing her heart and leaving her in a state of disbelief.

She struggled to get up from the bed with all her strength, but she couldn’t move

She looked at Travis with her red eyes, opened her mouth, and finally saud fragmentarily. “I dreamed that he… didn’t die.”

She dreamed that Liam knelt in front of the grave and shot himself, but someone saved hum….

She didn’t believe that Liam would die like this. He promised her that he would take good care of Susan. Why would he kill himself?

Travis put away the phone and looked at her with some sympathy. “Two years ago, when you were in a coma, the news was broadcast on TV. Your body had a strong reaction, but you didn’t wake up I guess you heard of his death and couldn’t accept it That’s why you created a beautiful dream in your mind.”

Scarlett did not believe that it was a dream she made up How could such a real dream be made up?!

Her heart was filled with disbelief, yet her tears flowed uncontrollably, falling without ceasing

Liam once said that if she died, he would definitely commit suicide in front of her grave and never live alone

She remembered that before she died, he also told her that he would keep his promise. Was this his way of keeping his promise?

Was Liam… really dead?

Then what would Suan do? He was Suan’s only relative in this world.

What can I do now? I was saved, but he is dead. What should I do?”

Scarlett had a major meltdown, her body, immobile from the start, reacting intensely to the stimulation.

She moved her fingers and reached in Travis’ direction. “I need… a phone…”

She wanted to call Liam and tell him that she was actually not dead.

Seeing her face full of tears, Travis frowned slightly. “You can’t accept the truth?”

Scarlett didn’t have the strength to speak again. She just shed tears, begging Travis to take pity on her and call him for her.

Travis seemed to be touched by something. He frowned, took out his phone, and asked her. “What’s the number?”

Scarlett opened her mouth and, with great difficulty, recited the number that was etched in her memory, one by one.

Travis was rarely patient; he waited quietly for her to finish, then dialed out.

A mechanical female voice quickly sounded from the other side, ‘Sorry, the phone you dialed has been turned off…

Travis put down the phone and raised an eyebrow at Scarlett. “It’s turned off.”

Even if the phone was turned off, it could not prove that Liam was dead. She wanted to call Susan. “One more…

Travis had just pocketed his phone when he heard her say there was one more contact. Impatience flashed in his eyes. “Tm not your lackey,” he said.

Starlett didn’t reply, her red eyes fixed on him until he took out his phone, at which point she looked away.
