Chapter 81
“Did I tell you to steer clear of Dev?” Sebastian inquired, wiping his hands as he glanced at Scarlett, who had a sour look on her face.
When she had seen Sebastian showing up in the Wen family Manor, she had thought he had come for the banquet, not to settle a score with her.
He had such sharp skills that, within a day, he already knew what she and Dev were up to.
Had it not been for Searlee, she would have been awaiting death at home, thus, she could not be blamed for accompanying Dev to such a place.
Scarlett had no intention of being deceptive and spoke frankly, “Td rather not be around him, but your Scarlee is insisting that I entertain him. If I don’t comply, she’s threatening to take away my money. I guess I have no choice but to go against your advice and entertain him.”
What she meant was, if you want to blame someone, blame yourself
“If you did not climb into Dev’s bed, would she let you entertain him? Sebastian sneered.
Did this mean that she was asking for it?
As expected, it was his dream girl. No matter what she did, he would not blame her.
Scarlett suddenly had some self-awareness and stopped talking.
Sebastian took a step closer to her and forced her to the wall. He supported her with one hand and looked down at her. “Dev just solved the marriage with Jackman Group in front of everyone. Did you have a pillow talk?”
Dev solved the marriage with Jackman Group?
Scarlett was stunned for a moment, and then felt that the blame was lifted.
How did she not know that she had such great ability to let Dev remove the marriage?
She pursed her red lips and did not speak. In front of Sebastian, it was useless to explain. It was useless to say more. Sebastian moved closer to her again. The light fragrance spread out between her nose, causing Scarlett to be confused again. She turned her head unnaturally, but her lips accidentally brushed past his check.
There was a sense of numbness that was like static electricity, and it spread out between their skin.
Sebastian’s body stiffened, and his expression became slightly complicated.
Scarlett, on the other hand, felt a little embarrassed. “No, I’m sorry. I didn’t do it on purpose.”
Sebastian looked at her bashful face and slowly put away his complicated thoughts. He said coldly. “Is this how you seduce men?”
When Scarlett heard this, the trace of embarrassment in her heart gradually dissipated. A sense of frustration attacked her, making her a little powerless.
After a moment of silence, she said lightly, “Mr. Jackman, you don’t have to worry. No matter who I seduce, I will not seduce you.”
Sebastian’s expression became colder and colder.
He stared at her eyes. He couldn’t see any thoughts in her eyes. Instead, there was a hint of indifference.
He couldn’t tell what kind of mood he was in right now. He only felt irritated.
